when your working with text editors and lots of terminals nothing seems to beat a tiling window manager. you only need 80 columns in a text editor anyway. i haven't spent any time tweaking my dwm code yet. i'm probably going to replace a disk in my system and not sure how i'm gonna go about things. probably will keep kde or LXDE installed. DWM is a fast window manager for X and let's you effectively use all of the pixels on the screen. Everything can be done via keyboard.

think i might hack dwm to make it show the current POSIX time aka u is epoch time (seconds since midnight jan 1st, 1970) in the top right corner.

should only take like ... 1 line of C code .. maybe two.
