Chauvin being taken away in handcuffs Notice how his eyes kept moving back and forth, right to left as if he was surprised at the verdict.
I wonder for what reason Chauvin kept his knee more than 9 minutes on George Floyd's neck? Why and hove much hate if somebody should have to kill someone?
This would have been the narrative by the Minneapolis Police if there were no witnesses in the death of George Floyd. and no one would have been the wiser, No multi-million dollar settlement agreement for the Floyd family, no 15-25 Million protesters across the country calling for justice, no officers held accountable, and Derek Chauvin would still be out there patrolling the streets of Minneapolis.
And now we wait 8 weeks for the sentencing. If Chauvin gets the maximum in all 3 charges it adds up to 75 years. In any case he'll probably spend the rest of his life in prison.
And Tucker Carlson, obviously unhappy with the verdict, says the jury found Chauvin guilty because they were intimidated by the BLM protests and riots.
When I attended military training class, the instructor officer said " If you have to shoot, in any critical circumstance, first, shoot to the lover body parts of the target" it was not a law but it was strongly suggested to do it first. Unfortunately, most victims are shoot through their chest or head, even the unarmed victims, while they are running away.
Our community should support the law enforcement of police officers, a clear and strong regulations protect not only the people but also the police officers' agencies too.
Hidden in Plain Sight: Racism, White Supremacy, and Far-Right Militancy in Law Enforcement White supremacists and militias have infiltrated police across US, report says Unredacted FBI Document Sheds New Light on White Supremacist Infiltration of Law Enforcement White Supremacist Infiltration of US Police Forces: Fact-Checking National Security Advisor O’Brien
Not as long as they cultivate and maintain the belligerent culture and ethos of an occupying army in 'bandit country' and openly tolerate racists and neo-Fascists in their ranks, and cuddle up and snuggle with domestic terrorists like the Proud Boys, III%ers, and Oath Keepers. Fuck supporting the police; fuck qualified immunity, fuck organized crime masquerading as police unions, fuck police militarization, fuck SWAT raids for shoplifting warrants, fuck unarmed people getting killed over $20, a broken taillight, or an expired registration, and fuck their whole "Comply or Die" trip.
The overall situation has foregrounded the long-burgeoning need for police reform. I've been complaining for years that a lot of police have become rigid and combative in their duty which morphed from peace-keeping to seeking out infractions. Take dui for one example. I remember a time when cops would take you home and let you come get your car the next day. A cadre of influencers made it their life goal to implement no-tolerance immediate jailing and impounding of the vehicle, a difficult bail system, and a heavy stigma. That removed the discretion police had to be good neighbors and helped lead us to where we are today. Many people may not know that simply sitting in your car waiting and resting or sleeping it off is, mind-blowingly, completely legal grounds for getting charged with DUI - with a totally stationary vehicle! And people were cool with this because 'if it just saved one life'! Just one of the aspects where progressive people were demanding change, believing it was for the betterment. And the odd thing is that many of those who drove the efforts which ultimately resulted in militarizing the police are now decrying the fact that it happened. So many people can't seem to see beyond the nose on their face! I'd like to hope they're getting smarter but there's no evidence of it yet.
WRONG !!! - since you're sitting in your car you have the means to start the engine, disengage the brake and drive the car, notwithstanding you're incapacitated through excess alcohol.Hence you are deemed in control of your vehicle and in those circumstances can be arrested and charged for being "Drunk in charge".
I stand corrected. So apparently Sidney Powell stole this defense argument from Tucker Carlson, but this time it didn't work. Let's see if Trump tries it: "No reasonable person would take me seriously as President."
