Oh yeah, I'm going to watch that sometime.
    It's good stuff, I think.
Fictional miserable people in funny situations.

  4. I don't know if it makes me depressed. I'm already depressed (because I'm surrounded by ASSHOLES.) But I don't find them particularly amusing either, so I guess it is just sort of depressing.

    Depressive Comedies sounds redundant?

    That made me laugh.

Maybe because I'm so miserable, I only find other miserable people funny. Or cartoon characters.

I like self-deprecation in standup comedy, it tends to make the comic more down to earth.

Generally makes me feel better. Its hit and miss though, like with all comedy. It depends on quality, style, the person, other details etc.

Get the vibe from that guy (Jim Carrey) that in 10 years something major will happen and we will be like "yeah, we should have seen it all along".

There is some kind of sadistic / god complex like streak under all that

He's probably died like 1000 ego deaths from tripping so I dont know about the God complex

But yeah he's definitely going to do something to leave the world wondering how they missed the incredibly fucking obvious signs

I like ol' Jim a lot though. He's batshit crazy but thats ok with me

Friends is still apparently rakung in the dough for streaming services. All these new shows, but that show still one of the most watched.

I like to catch an episode now and then, its a show that pretty much never had a depressing episode.

Cant think of any show that would be labelled as a depressing comedy I would sit down and watch to feel good.

Some black comedy can be clever or witty but thats about it

I agree. It's really a hit and miss when it comes to comedy
