This is all over the media! Much love to courageous Colorado citizens for standing up and being noticed.

    It's only the beginning.

Today at around 5pm(PST) i watched the report on fox news, they said that 90% of the arrests were prosecuted by the state and this law wont really help much, im not surprised.

this is, of course, tremendous news. however, far more pressing matters are at hand as i just learned the US SUPREME COURT is hearing an ayahuasca case from sante fe!!!!

this is big, people! bigger than pot being legal according to city pigs. thats nothing....compared to a chance to further expand rights to use psychedelics in a spiritual circumstance. this is pure first amendment stuff right here, our BASIC RIGHTS as citizens of this country are being attacked....

yeah, i believe we have the RIGHT to use marijuana, but its recreation we're talking about in most cases. even the voters in denver admit to that. how many REAL copts and rastas do we have in this country? not too very many. the marijuana movement, right though it is, is primarily made up of people that want to get high or use pot for medicine.

this ayahuasca case, however, is about further securing our first amendment rights, something that is equally long overdo and of much greater legal consequence, imo.

the justices already sound like they may be more on the side of the church members, initially anyway, referring to the exception made for peyote use among indians, and citing how "an exception can be made without the sky falling."

this is big stuff, and has the potential to become wonderful stuff. if this goes well, coupled with the denver thing and all sorts of other statewide and local medical programs and so on, perhaps america is waking up and starting to stand up against the draconian zealots of the DEAth squad. perhaps the era of persecution is coming to a close, and we're beginning a transition to a more sane environment?

if drug laws even just get more RELAXED and drugs aren't even really legalized, i'll be much happier about the state of things here. though we need out of all these bullshit wars, too....

This thread is full of good news: Denver, that FL town, and the Ayahuaska case. Let us hope that last one turns out good.

I dont know why the government wont let us put what we want in our bodies in the first place. Bastards. But maybe people will see that its been legalized in a town in the US already so maybe they'll be more willing to experiment, creating more activists.

Further legalization will depend upon how it affects Denver.

I think that the legalization laws should be based on the cigarrette laws for that specific area.

Well, they are regulating motorcycles as well. Follow the money.

What'll happen to booze sales if you're allowed to smoke dope?

I don't think alcohol use will decline. People that like to get drunk will continue to get drunk, whether weed is legalized or not.

probably not right right away, but if kids see it growing up, i think they'll be more inclined to use it when they grow up, especially if more people realize how much safer it is that alcohol.
