I had not either. Thats the funny thing about going into other people's houses andhearing their traditions. I was so confused when they discussed hiding a picklein the tree. Then again, I had no idea it was an ornament. I thought it was going to be real. LOL
none if you hand them properly. besides, some folks decorate the tree in a normal, tasteful fashion and hide it in some hard to see spot or inside the tree, some fill every possible spot on the tree and hide it right out in the open like the one picture of the super gaudy tree.... my family decorates our tree with a lot of stuff, but its not super packed or anything we never really knock any ornaments off. if you have decent hooks they'll stay in place pretty well unless its placed in a super risky place with no support
