The audio on this didn't work for me. Not sure why. I'm techno challenged. From what I've read, though, you can't really delete FB once you've had an account with any real info on it. Even when you close your account, it's still there just waiting for you to log back in or log onto a site that it recognizes. Is that correct? I wish I'd NEVER had a FB account. Sooo.. invasive.
^ from what i've heard, you CAN delete it, but facebook won't tell you how so you have to find the instructions elsewhere, and then it's unnecessarily complicated. either way, i'm sure that once you do delete it your information is still saved somewhere in the facebook machine.
You can delete FB, at least you used to be able to. I deleted mine a few years back, although I'm now back on it (with a different account). They take 7 days to delete your profile, so I'm guessing that's either time for them to save all your data or just to give you a few days of regret before you come crawling back and save it.
You can't delete an account anymore... Anything you put on faceplant becomes the property of faceplant.
please provide some sort of abstract before posting a video that you assume we will watch and suffer through. Two sentences would probably suffice .. just enough to let ppl know what they're about to watch and possibly waste their time on
Too lazy to watch the video. Would be great if they could delete Facebook completely. Yes, I guess I'm a 'hater.' Now I know most of you use Facebook to keep in touch with people, or as an online photo book. That's respectable. When I had Facebook, though, 90% of people on there were attention whores. Young girls posting revealing pics to either fish for compliments or boost their ego by getting more likes than their friends. People post intensely personal messages on other people's walls - Serious question - Why would they do that? Why not just use the private messaging system? This is not some kind of anti self expression post. Not trying to offend anyone. Don't hate me for hating, please. It's just my opinion, which means nothing!
i didnt watch the video either but .... you cant delete facebook. all it does when you "delete" it is set a flag in the database to not show it anymore so noone can see it and its "effectively deleted", the only thing they have to do to un-delete it is to reset that flag/variable and it turns it back on like it never happened.
yeah, that's just unnecessary. luckily i'm not facebook friends with anyone that age, so i didn't realize that was happening.
Imagine if the goverment sent you something in the mail demanding to know everything you freely share on Facebook. Imagine they told you they needed to know all this to prevent "terrorism". People would be very upset. You think the NSA does not look at site and laugh? So many people will say they are ok with this because they have nothing to hide. Yes this is true they really do not care about your kids football game or your small talk with a high school classmate. But that makes you a sheep too stupid and afraid to go anywhere without the herd. They know you will never see the truth. They are looking for the goats, the ones who have enough will power to go their own way. They are willing to filter through all the small talk.
i would be pretty annoyed, since they couldn't have sent it to me in the first place if they didn't know my name. and i'm also pretty certain they already know where i went to school and where i work, since i file taxes. i assume those white trash people that post their whole life are probably the same people who accept with open arms everything the government does, as long as there is a republican president at the time. so as long as they wait until after this election to do it, there would probably be very little backlash.
