As you said... Fruit by the Foot isn't all that exciting. If they had normal everyday problems, like your lunchtime dilema, well... it wouldn't be on the air long. Not that the problems they talk about aren't normal.. because they are. I know that most of those things happen at my old high school (my sister tells me all the gossip)... prego chicks, drugs, abusive relationships, mental problems, suicides... it all happens.. maybe just not as often and to such a small group of people.
Degrassi...*sigh* so many great Friday nights. I watched it in middle school...and have for the past two years in high school. The Next Generation is so icky now, though. I've lost interest in all the characters. They used to have more charm...That's what I love about Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High (which I watched from 12-3AM like someone else mentioned doing when they played them on the-N). I was totally addicted. Now I'm asking my mum for the DVDs for my birthday (which is in less than week! yay!). *sigh* I love Joey Jeremiah and Lucy...and my attraction to Caitlin is a bit freaky. She's just so damn cool and sexy. Maybe I'm a lesbian?
I kinda like it. I stopped watching it when Melissa McIntyre (Ashley) left. She was the only character I had anything in common with- kinda selfish but also has low self esteem, a poet\musician, overanalyzes everything, but mostly just another kid trying to find herself. Definitely me in middle school and early high school.
i might be the loner here when i say i absolutely love Degrassi. The Next Generation, that is. i never saw DJH or DH, but i did get hooked on TNG. i agree, some of the plotlines are kind of overplayed, but, it's still a fun show to watch. or maybe i just don't have a life. haha. peace. <3
