Decidedly Alone

navigating the road of personal choices in adulthood is tricky, and relationships are certainly no exception to that rule. i will say this about so heavy a decision made at 22: as long as you are happy with who you are, everything else is icing on the cake.
i will also say though, that keeping yourself open to the possibility of love without actively looking for it may pleasantly surprise you. a life lived as a single person can be a happy and fulfilled one, just as a life with a partner at your side can also be. if there is any one constant in life, it is change. you may change, your decisions may change, your heart may change. but if you "go with the flow" so to speak, and someday allow yourself the the chance of falling in love, i know it will not disappoint. just like all experiences in life, physical and emotional, there is nothing quite like the joy of being madly in love.

 

Being single need not be some sort of waiting period brought about by social failure and lack of options. For some people it is a choice and source of happiness. I believe this to be my case ATM.
