there is no sky. there is a very large number of particles too small to see, the enable us to live, by being able to breathe them. when the light from the sun passes through then, it makes the effect on our eyes we call the color blue. which is actually closer to a pale turquoise anyway.

gravity and the magnetic field and other effects and conditions of the planet keep the sky from just drifting away and disappearing.
