Dunno if anyone else has pointed this out, but people are freaking out about poor old Pete Doherty...He's 27 now too. I hope he doesnt die any time soon! =[
Maybe it seems weird, freaky or mysterious but it's just a coincidence. Come on, people. I agree. Humans tend to seek patterns- probably because it was essential for survival on the savannah (we probably get our tendency to trust authority from the same era). That tendency was "selected for," as those who didn't look carefully for patterns were eaten by predators, leaving few offspring. Those finding patterns- for instance noticing signs of predator activity while foraging- lived to reproduce. The result is a tendency to "see" patterns even when there isn't one. We tend to under-estimate the role of pure chance. Or maybe our tendency to look for patterns is just a result of pure chance itself. If you wonder where a certain human trait came about, just ask yourself "how would this tendency have aided survival against large predators on the savannah?" Some scientists believe that all human tendencies can be accounted for when looked at from this perspective.
