Deadpool Movie Blurb by Shale February 12, 2016 This is the funniest, fastest paced, Marvel superhero movie I have seen - and Ryan Reynolds is the perfect man to pull off the witty, profane and DEFINITELY R-Rated flick. I was lafing from the opening credit thru the end-credits with two little teasers. Wait Til You Get a Load of This Movie And, for those kids who started a petition to make a PG-13 version of this movie, all I can say is GROW UP! Actually Ryan Reynolds responded to that and I have to agree with his assessment: "I don’t think so. I mean, you saw it. That would be a very short movie. It’s almost a commercial at that point." Right, if you took all the age-inappropriate little side snipes and imagery out of this movie it would have lost its unique ambience. Even the animated Deadpool riding a Unicorn in the end credits is R-Rated funny. OK, as I mentioned once before, when I was reading comic books there was Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman (And MIghty Mouse - which was age appropriate) so IDK anything about these modern Marvels except what makes it to the movies. I'm sure all the adult nerds who saw this movie today (and the younger teens who found a way to see it) know the whole backstory of the character but this is the movie that shows how Deadpool came about. While this story opens with Deadpool riding to some destination on a freeway in a taxi, it is told in flashback thru out. Also, Deadpool speaks to the fourth wall (the audience) a lot in this movie, which works really well, and like the opening credits is often self-deprecating, answering obvious nerd questions about production before they are asked. Deadpool Waving from Cab Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a mercenary who is basically good for dealing with stalkers of teen girls. He hangs out in a bar full of other dangerous types who have brawls and there is a chalkboard pool for bets on who will get killed first kept by his friend Weasel (T.J. Miller) the bartender. Wade meets Vanessa Carlysle (Morena Baccarin ) an escort and they hit it off after some wisecracking first meeting and eventually they are in love and living together. (Wow, a Valentine Day story. I recommend this movie for young lovers - Guys take your girl or other guy to see Deadpool) Wade & Vanessa SPOILERS, MAYBE? Well, IDK if this will spoil it for ya, so if you are sensitive to that, then run out right now and see this movie, then come back and read my take on it. I just want everyone to know how stoked I am about this movie. Deadpool finds out he has cancer and in desperation takes an extreme treatment that is administered by this sleazy, sadistic guy Francis who calls himself Ajax (Ed Skrein) and is also a mutant with much strength and agility. Deadpool & Ajax
The treatment leaves him with amazing regenerative power (better than Wolverine) but also disfigured to the point of having to hide his face from the public. Deadpool After Treatment Deadpool's mission is to find Ajax and force him to fix his looks so he can get back with Vanessa, which brings us to the cab ride where we see some real action on the expressway. Deadpool on Expressway with Wrecks of His Doing He succeeds in finding Ajax but is stopped by two mutants from Dr. Xavier's School for Gifted Children. Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) & Colossus (Stefan Kapii). Ajax gets away but the two mutants who have been trying to recruit Deadpool to join them, agree to help him Teenage Warhead, Deadpool & Colossus Well, eventually they get to Ajax and his super strength accomplice Angel Dust (Gina Carano) and of course a great building-destroying fight ensues. After the battle is won, Wade has to reveal himself to Vanessa as Deadpool. Deadpool Vanessa Meet Such a romantic Valentines Day story. I cried a lot - from fucking laffing so much

I was wondering when I was this excited by a movie before and then it kicked me in the ass. Almost six years ago. Kick Ass Movie Blurb by Shale April 16, 2010 Being a frequent moviegoer, I saw the trailers to what I thought was a PG-13 teen fantasy/action flick some time ago. Of course I am into teen flicks and planned to see it but later discovered that this is an unabashedly bloody, heavy gore, violent, vulgar language, R-Rated movie. That said, gotta tell ya - I LOVED THIS MOVIE. Yeah, go see it and quite frankly, if you have an under 17 adolescent in your life, take them to see it too. Guaranteed not to harm anyone over 13 - They've likely seen worse and survived. http://www.hipforums.com/forum/topic/373269-kick-ass/ I saw Kick-Ass four times in theater then got the DVD, which I watched again this week. Both Kick-Ass and Deadpool are "Irreverently Entertaining."
I like Iron Man better. My boyfriend on the other hand is OBSESSED. I ran out and got him a DP shirt of VD and he's done nothing but watch videos and read articles on Deadpool .since we saw it on Friday. I took my 14 year old. He said it was ok. I didn't see anything in that movie that isn't also in many other rated R films; it was merely concentrated. Twilight, Beerfest, Jackass, Boondock Saints; every set of tits on a Disney cartoon princess. The toilet humor got old when I could no longer hear the dialog over the raucous laughter in the audience. Deadpool as a character is all well and good. He's an anti-hero. He has deep physical and emotional pain. He deals by using sarcasm and humor so he's much like a lot of us are. The movie only showcased his asshole side. He's more relatable than Thor or Tony Stark. He's still got heart and loves his blind crack whore.
You seem to have discovered a gender preference that I think is valid. Here is an e-mail response from one of my female friends on my Movie Blurb list: From: (Female Friend) To: Shale Subject: Re: Deadpool - Movie Blurb Date: Feb 12, 2016 10:34 PM I didn't enjoy it as much as other super hero movies. It appealed to a boy mentality and Id like the PG version, sorry. Reynolds and Francis were Hott! And she wasn't an escort. She was a bartender at a strip club. From: Shale To: (Female Friend) Subject: Re: Deadpool - Movie Blurb Date: Feb 14, 2016 7:35 PM I will probably go to a matinee tomorrow. You guessed it Deadpool. I think it is geared for adolescent boys, which is why I love it so much. It just hit me the last time I got this stoked about a movie - Kick Ass in 2010, another R-rated superhero movie. Just liked the pacing and the smart voiceover dialogue in both those movies. Oh, and opening self-deprecating credits in Deadpool was a good touch. Hope your Valentine Day was fun. From: (Female Friend) To: Shale Subject: Re: Deadpool - Movie Blurb Date: Feb 14, 2016 9:09 PM I loved Kick Ass also. Ure really stoked like never b4 for this one, Good ..... movies get us that way. I really liked Deadpool, but the boys like it more and you qualify. Go 4 it. I thought did I get old or is it me, cuz guys next to me went nuts and their gf s were like Ehh so not just me. It is good, like the taxi driver and Stan Lee cameo, the guys were soo hot with the changes after the torture, just the jokes were too guy oriented.
Havent seen it yet, but Reynolds tries too hard, I dont think he is/was the best choice for Deadpool You really need a deadpan black comedy actor for the role - black as in comedy, not actor...which probably means british
Went to see the film on saturday, If you have watched the trailer needless to say it was funny, it felt less of an action fiction movie and more of comedy so I enjoyed most of it except for the part in which he dismembers his own arm, I can take the blood but that was my limit lol.
I just got back from the theater, seeing Deadpool again. STILL LOVE IT. On exiting the auditorium I saw an older woman with a kid in his early teens walking out with me. I asked if she came to the movie for the kid - her son - and she said yes and he really enjoyed it. I gave her a thumbs up on the staircase. She said she enjoyed it too. This is exactly what I suggested for Kick-Ass. I may be more jaded than most, but while there were definite adult themes and humor in this movie - there is nothing a 12-year-old boy has not already explored in his mind and likely visually on the Net these days. The MPAA has to restrict films on the majority culture that they know about, but everyone I know would let their young teen kids see this movie - even if they had to take them.
OK, have seen it now Pretty much exactly what I thought Was pretty funny But had the same old basic single villian revenge storyline we've seen soooooo many times and the "villian" was pretty lame, this is where I think Kick-ass kicks this movies ass, that shit was layered. The villian in Deadpool, especially as he was supposed to be Ajax, lame lame lame All the one liners saved this movie, the funniest probably being the Dracula Teeth sex scene, that one did make me cackle But the story again with the boring ass villian, go get the bad guy, dull fight at the end, end of movie......blahhh, seriously, how many times???
Deadpool Revisited by Shale February 21, 2016 Today I was talking to my grandson, Kevin, who said he had seen the Deadpool movie. He has always been up on the X-Men characters and reminded me that Wade Wilson/Deadpool played by Ryan Reynolds was in the 2009 movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. http://www.hipforums.com/forum/topic/339260-x-men-origins-wolverine/ Of course I recalled the character played by Ryan Reynolds in that movie but did not connect that he was the same character as in the current Deadpool movie. Wade Wilson I must admit that going into these Marvel Comic Book movies I am not that versed on all the characters as is my grandson. However, looking back on the movie (Which I just watched tonite on DVD) you see some consistency in the character as always mouthing off to the point that Stryker says he would be a perfect soldier if not for his mouth. The deviation from canon seems to be how Wade became Deadpool in the Wolverine movie from experimental operations by Stryker, giving him many mutant powers from their gene pool and the name Deadpool. And, sealing up his mouth. Deadpool & Wolverine Fight I also mentioned to my grandson that Deadpool was killed in that movie - had his head cut off by Wolverine at the nuclear plant destruction. He said that Deadpool can never be killed. Well, tonite while watching the DVD, and the small scene at the end credits, where Stryker is picked up by the military police, I watched as more credits rolled by and saw the second teaser, which I had never seen before. A hand sifting thru the debris and finding a head. End Credits, Second Teaser
Deadpool was the best movie my husband and I have seen in a long time, and we both LOVED it. You could tell who the true Marvel fans were in the audience because we all sat through the end credits. The people leaving gave us strange looks, but it was worth the wait with the sneak peak at Deadpool 2. Ryan Reynolds did a superb job as Wade Wilson, and Deadpool. Great timing, great jokes, hilarious offensive remarks, and intense action scenes. What more could one ask for in a Deadpool movie. It made us want to go home and break out the video game for more crude humor and great laughs. Merc with a Mouth did not disappoint! Definitely a movie we will buy!
I saw Deadpool on Saturday. I took my soon to be 17 year old. I liked the movie and so did he. It was witty and definitely not for children. My 9 year old will not be seeing for many years. Stay all the way to the end! I told my son it was awkward laughing at a few things with my 16 yo son. He said it was awkward laughing with his mom there.
I saw it again today. Love that movie. Maybe this was the last time while in theater, where it broke the box office records for the last 3 weeks. Now I will just wait until the DVD comes out.
Watched this 1 1/2 more times since somehow the blue ray rip is already available What I said, jokes are funny, but the ending gives me the shits
"I'm gonna do to your face what Limp Bizkit did to music in the late '90s!" Man that line made me laugh so hard my side hurt. Thank god I wasn't drinking a beverage during that line.
I think Bocceran or whatever her name is would have made a better Wonder Woman than Gadot, Gadot is too small
Also, have to admit, if Cable is going to be in Deadpool 2, I'm going to blow a wad when the trailer comes out My top 2 comic book characters that havent been in movies thus far, I want to see are Cable and Mister Mxyzptlk
I liked it, I laughed. I'm going to be a bitch though, and say I think the girl (Vanessa?) just wasn't hot enough for Ryan R. https://cdn64.picsart.com/193705469000202.jpg?r640x640
