That's right! I had somehow forgotten that/got the FDA mixed up with the DEA for a minute...but my friend and I were talking about this very thing the other night when she was over here assembling the shop vac for me. She has 3 kinds of arthritis and you would think she is asking for a shot of smack to get more than a low dose of hydrocodone. lol Her rheumatologist told her it was a good thing her pain tolerance level is high.

I've heard Florida used to be the place go for pain pills. It's like what Colorado is for medical weed. Really if you want it you just go to the doctor and pay. But they have cracked down on it now when they realized more pain pills were prescribed down there then the rest of America combined.

 

I tried to self teach myself guitar like 5 times now. I have good equipment too. I make a lot of noise but not much sense.

 

You're right.

Phenerghan is for nausea. We've the suppositories when the kids were small, pills of it, and I have the anesthesiologists give to me if I have to have surgery because it makes me do better in recovery.

This makes me want to weep! What a waste.

If you mean Ativan... the benzo.... that's such an odd thing to prescribe for eyes, I would think. Unless he prescribed it for stress... in which case if you take it long enough, it can cause stress and panic attacks and other icky stuff. Docs really piss me off when they prescribe benzos without explaining the risks.

AND as for you other heathens... the plural of raccoon is 'raccoon'? Ya'll are making that up.

Docs won't prescribe me pain pills for RA because it's a chronic condition but they'll give the roomie lots of them for gout. Women have a much harder time getting pain meds than males. So unfair! Legalize my herbage, dammit!

I wondered about that too...the Ativan benzo being prescribed for eye problem...years ago when I had a whole 'nother life, the doctor prescribed me just all types of "nerve" pills. (benzos) The ONLY thing he never would prescribe me was what I wanted the most - valium. lol

My late alcoholic husband could even get valium when he would hurt his back from falling when he was drunk. good grief. Yeah, he always needed pills to go with his alcohol like he would need several more holes in his head and liver.

(Now I have my own "private pharmacist" for a v or 2 when I really need them. I hope my pharmacy doesn't run out any time soon...that potty chair makes me need them more than I used to. )

And about the RA...of course that is one of the "arthurs" friendgirl has...at least she is able to still get hydrocodone, even though its such a low dosage (to me) its a joke. AND we talked about how MEN almost always are able to get more and better meds for the same thing that a woman has. Why is that?

I think Ty's doctor treats him like he can handle pain like a woman.

I'm a tragic sports fan so if he anything like me he's not impressed now. I had a good run with Jeff Gordon when I saw them with a third, first and seventh but if it was outside top 10s I'd have been unapproachable and filthy. i can't stand it when there bad results and being there live is the ultimate worst.

 

If I hadn't run out of my quota of likes I'd for sure have liked that ^ because that is exactly the way he is. He is with his (somewhat calmer) best friend and the best friend's wife. I can promise you he is aggravated..."unapproachable and filthy" sums it up perfectly. lol Whomever can talk to him if and ONLY IF he wants it. I can barely imagine how put out he is. I know I feel for anyone in a car with him.

 

S.O.B...I just broke the needle in half. I'm almost done with the modifications on Piper's sweater, though.
