Mother of abandoned 'Baby Angelica' stabbed to death in Jamaica

The mother of “Baby Angelica,” the infant found abandoned in a Toronto parking garage stairwell in 2008, has been killed in Jamaica. Her husband, who was criminally convicted of abandoning the baby, is in custody, a seemingly violent conclusion to a parenting saga from hell.

With the clock hands approaching midnight and a New Year on the horizon, 39-year-old Stephanie Warren of Toronto, mother to “Baby Angelica,” was stabbed to death — allegedly by her Jamaican husband, Alphonso Warren, according to the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

The couple is infamous for having repeatedly faced allegations of mistreating their children in Canada and abroad. The mummified remains of a later child of the couple, a 2-year-old known as “Baby Joshua,” were found in 2012, zipped inside a suitcase in the Warrens’ inner-city Kingston, Jamaica, home.

Thanks Heat. I'll get on to some water soon it sounds dumb but I haven't had the time yet hehe. I got my Baggie though yay! 2.5oz to last me few months now should be good.

I think I got sick because yesterday I ate nothing all my time awake then went to pool comp, filled up on beer then ate so it all sat at top of belly. I woke up at about 7pm and just felt so bad, went to toilet and cooled down. Had my icy pole. :)

It is 59 degrees inside the house. I got a guy with experience in this type thing that I knew from being a cook in diners to come out here yesterday.. He was pretty sure it was the "circulator" that causes the hot water to circulate throughout the house/radiators that was gone, or something in the circulators is broken...

Anyway, we had to go to the orthopedist fairly early, and apparently Mama has been using her arm a little too much because the bone has shifted somewhat. It isn't REALLY apart, but it isn't as together as it was. :-{ So, she was TOLD by the doctor (so she'll listen to him :) ) NOT to use that arm, period. We are to go back in 3 more weeks.

So, after we got back from the orthopedist I called the company recommended by the dude from yesterday. I wound up calling her back to give her my cell phone number in case I didn't have the house mobile phone with me and THEN she told me they might not come out today. good grief. SO, in fact they did not.

I'm calling early tomorrow and find out if we are on their list for the day, and if not I'm calling around until I find someone that WILL come out. goodgracious

We have 2 little space heaters that I'm swapping out moving from place to place.

don't plug 2 heaters into a single outlet or into 2 outlets that go to the same breaker...or fuse

if I plug in my heater to the same circuit as my microwave or vacuum it goes.....I have to be careful to use walls that go to different breakers.....much of my wiring in the old part here is in metal conduit on the outside of my baseboards....

thanks y'all...I'm thinking about that saying how it HAS to get better cause I'm at the bottom looking up. :p

I'm not plugging in the heaters even in the same rooms. I'll have one going in the kitchen and one in the living room...like that.

    This is unreal.

I'm looking forward to going in the kitchen and washing the dishes in hot water. I made sure and saved them all up so I'd have my hands in that water for more than 2 minutes. :)

Make sure the repair people know how old your mother is so that they give you priority.

Lynn, you can move heat around with box fans. We've done it to get the heat from the kerosene heater to other parts of the house.

True, but the box fans need to be in a different circuit than the heaters... eventually you run out of circuits.

Yeah...I'm pretty creeped out with the fuses and circuits and that related malarkey. ESPECIALLY since I can't always tell when a fuse is blown and there is no labeling to the fuse-maze. At one point, I could tell by how the "window" in the fuse would be brownish and it looked blown that it was blown. However, I've discovered that isn't always the case. So, I'm being pretty careful about what is plugged in...and I'm layered up like you wouldn't believe. Mama is snoozing away on the sofa under 3 layers of blankets.

She is doing fine, and even exclaimed after bathing "I had to make sure I didn't use that arm. I WANT it to heal right!" I'm glad she really does want to be as independent as possible...I just wish she didn't think she still needs to be the boss of Every. Single. Thing. that happens on this property.

Since the doctor told her she MUST be careful (and he is a man), I believe that worked to make her let that arm remain immobile.

I said "and he is a man" because if a MAN says something it is always better and MORE RIGHT than if a woman says it. She is beginning to listen to me; but only because she has to. lol

Thanks! I've never seen or heard of those, Ori! I'm going to have to look into that! Those are the kinds of fuses that are down there (in the fuse-maze), the screw in type. I have bought some screw in fuses that don't fit...instead of the brass/gold color screw part, the screw part was white. I had no idea all fuses of the same voltage/wattage (whatever) wouldn't fit...yet another lesson I've learned in these last 6 months.

I want to find out how much the device is that is sort of like a gun that you can point at a fuse and it will tell if it is blown/bad or not. I'm sure its not cheap but having this insane set-up down there is enough to drive anybody bonkers (but Mama...and that's her job to drive everybody else bonkers :D ).

    yours are visual

if you cant see the burned out filament with a flashlight youd have to take out the fuse and use an ohm meter

just imagine they are lightbulbs...when they blow the filament burns just like a bulb except the fuses are clear so you can see inside

never heard of any voltage gun used on fuses because the rest of the box is hot, I dont think it would sense the difference. those guns are used for tracking wires in walls ..
your basic wiring plan should be 20amps, some 15amp fuses will fit in a 20amp slot, but a 30amp fuse wont/ however there are exceptions to that rule..
fuse boxes are now outdated and building codes will not allow them to be used in new homes .. you can only buy fuses because the law is not retro, it will not require those with fuse boxes to replace them with breaker box. of course many insurance carriers will not provide fire insurance to homes with fuses. til those are replaced with breaker boxes.
best you have two people and a two way radio or shout really loud, go around the house turn on the lights and outlets and remove the fuses and makes notes which ones they are.

I really have tried to do just that, Spiff...looking to see if the filament is broken. Some of the new ones are made so strangely that they look broken when you take them out of the box. Even the son said the same thing when he was down there with me before trying to determine where the hell the blown fuse was that went to the receptacle behind the sofa...which we NEVER DID FIND.

There have been at least 5 or 6 in the last 7 months or so that I was able to tell right off they were blown. Now I know that was just a tease.

Thanks for telling me what the instrument is I need to find out about...really that is something I think I NEED...an ohm meter.

a continuity meter/tester would be easier or one those that beep.

which reminds me I should take my batteries out my meter its not been used in a while. and every time my good meters get ruined by corroded batteries.

We have a few 30 amps down there. There are also 20, 15, and some 25 too.

What you suggest is exactly what I've figured I'll have to do. Really, I'm sort of planning on recruiting my brother and BIL to help with that when they come.

"Help with that" my ass...I plan on getting them to DO it. :)

That is really the only way I see it can ever get labeled.

I've wondered about the insurance and all that before...but since the house and insurance is in Mama's name I've only thought about it in theory. Time for me to think about it for real because I don't want there to be a fire due to that mess of 4 fuse boxes down there.
