I stopped reading when he started saying that people can't protest for economic fairness if they're employed. Maybe the unemployed are trying to find jobs, to feed their families?

And further, I would vote for obama.... obviously. It all depends who he's running against. I hate the fucker, but he's infinitely better than mccain. It's a lesser of two evils kind of situation. Question sucks, it obviously depends who the other option would hypothetically be. You can't just decide you "will" or "will not" vote for someone before you know what your other option is, that kind of strait ticket stupidity helped create this situation.

This is a short post, but pretty much sums up what's wrong with america, and the world. It's all divided into the evil filthy fucking rich thieves, and the apathetic retarded sedated douchebags who can tell you what would be nicer, but don't have the balls to go do anything about it, except go find munchies.

That's one of the main points of OWS. We have no choice's the way the two parties dominate. It seems like most all other modern democracies have multiple parties that are sharing power. The US has both party's within the same political spectrum which is framed and driven by corporate interests. Somethings gotta give.

But while we're pushing, before it gives, we've got to take the best options available. If the best option is obama, I will not vote for a worse candidate simply because hating obama is the kewl thing to do.

From the Occupy Wall Street Website:

I wonder if this will be the start of the occupation of foreclosed homes...

The consumer or borrower has no rights. The contract laws all favor the bank. The American dreamer puts down 20% or pays a fortune in morgage insurance, they pay yearly insurance, taxes, upkeep and make improvements on the property but dam if they miss a couple of payments they're in the foreclosure trap. Which makes saving the home impossible after the bank dumps legal fees, penalties, appraisals, etc... and the consumer takes all the risk and the bank has zero risk.
The consumer can have paid on that property for 25 yrs and lose a job or get sick or jailed and lose everything and the bank usually has made double off the original loan. Zero rights for the buyer and 99.9% of the law favors the bank.

100 Military Veterans marched today in NYC in solidarity with ex-marine Scott Olsen who was shot by police in Oakland last week. This is also timed to coincide with the General Strike going on in Oakland today.

IS the political route the only way to serious fast change? I feel like campaigning and voting for 'the best promises' is a fools game. I put a lot of energy helping Obama get elected and seeing him turn his back on his promises of change as he joined the political establishment in DC. I feel really burnt as do many of my fellow 'hopers'. I just feel like change, change as in paradigm shift of reorganizing the banking and mercantile system as we know it, is not going to happen thru the DC political machine. We need people power on a massive level that shifts Western civilizations values as we know and feel powerless under. It's hard to verbalize these thoughts but I feel the OWSers' our on the same wavelength and I really feel that that this paradigm shift happens on a world wide scale. W/O war. Are the younger generations ready and able?
