Every bulb in my house is incandescent. I bought a few cases of them several years back, enough to last my lifetime I hope.
I like turtles I also like led bulbs the ones i use look like regular bulbs and work well in the cold
Every Bulb In This House Is An "Energy Saver".... ..Some Take Some Time To Reach Full Brightness......Some Make My Skin Appear Red And Purple.......I Hate Them...... Cheers Glen.
Hubby has to order Day Light color from Amazon. The ones they sell in the stores have that amber cast to them. He detests amber.
I've heard that the real reason the gov't pushed for 'energy saving' bulbs is because tungsten, used in incandescents, has military applications and is also hard to come by.
*feels stupid for believing it was ghosts* Somebody had to mention ghosts. Right? I hypothesize ghosts.
Maybe that is what he really thought....and at least he was trying to cure something rather than hurt it...if that is the case. I bought epson salt because of him, and was going to do his cleansing by drinking a lot of it...but then I thought better of it...and said to myself..."I don't know much about it..and it can do harm to me, too..."...so that stuff just sits in a bag unopened.......unless i want to take a bath in it or something.....I got along with him and liked him, though.....and maybe he was right about a lot of things.....and maybe he wasn't....I just listened and thought to better investigate something everywhere else that i could to really find out first. I hope he is doing well and is happy wherever he is.
The list is endless. If you have a neon voltage indicator screwdriver, it will glow all the time if you are in a power station. Their is also a possibility that the switch on your light is on the neutral. That would be providing mains voltage to the bulb all the time and any return path or damp would allow enough current to flow to cause an LED to glow. Have you ever noticed that when you turn your television off. Just the power "hanging around" on the circuit boards sustains the diode indicator light for several seconds. I would however suggest that you get your lamp checked by a competent person, since a faulty switch or internal fault in the wiring could end up becoming dangerous in other ways. Unlike David's flashing CFL that was caused by its internal capacitors, a constant glow is indicative of some sort of fault.
