I'm referencing an old tread that some will remember. A lamp turning the bulb on by itself is more remarkable than the sky being blue.
mine comes on often by itself because i have a habit of not twisting the switch all the way until it clicks also my bedroom ceiling fan surprises me because i dont always yank the chain enough to positively engage the detent in the off position
The light bulb wasn't burning brightly as if the lamp was simply, routinely, on. The light bulb was burning much more dimly than it normally would.
But Dave was not talking about LED bulbs... He was saying his compact fluorescent bulbs were flashing long after they were turned off. Oh yeah, and... Dave's not here, man....
Could be a bad switch... Could be stray frequency from TV or radio/stereo/computer. It doesn't take much to make an LED bulb glow.
what Tyr said is spot on...led draws very little..plus they work on very little voltage i had a problem last year on a friends quad where led lights would stay lit and narrowed it down to a bit of water in the switch that was allowing just 2 volts to light them up constantly also led are mostly built in china...very low quality standards
