Well I will never see 40 again...I know I look younger thats because I use Olay.....But anyway its a funny age to try and date....cos the majority of folk have probably had failed marriages....and kids....but I have never been married or had kids....and nor have I really grown up...I still like to party like its 1999...and a lot of women I meet who are in my age group look at me and think "What a twattock"......So it can be difficult to find a mate sometimes.....Don't get me wrong I have known women in their 40s who love a good ol party...but only to get away from the Hubby at home.....so its very hard being a single 40 something who acts like a pranny.
I'm in that age group and if I found myself single, I wouldn't want to date women who are too much younger than me. They're sexy but I'm not 23 anymore...plus...I'm kind of more into older women. 45, 50, 55....they would be fine for me. 35 would probably be about as young as I'd go. Maybe younger but they would have to be relaxed, super intelligent and no drama. In fact, any woman would have to meet that criteria for me to be interested. Being a hottie also helps but I couldn't be with someone who was high-strung, dumb or full of drama. If she's 50, has a post-graduate degree (or equivalent intelligence level), confident and drama-free, is healthy and enjoys live music as much as sitting on the back deck having a few beers and watching birds in the evening....that's the girl for me. So pretty much just like the wife I have now. Oh yeah....and she can cook her ass off. That's on the list too but not a prerequisite. I can cook.
Hahahaha! Another way to frame it....if she can discuss international monetary systems while I'm pissing off the back deck.....keeper! Just thought of that while pissing off the deck and thinking of that topic.
I am 45 and dating is.....interesting. I have dated more in the past six months than I did before I was married. It is a tricky age. I prefer men that have children because they understand that my time can't be devouted to them 24/7. I have dated 32-60. I prefer older, 32 year old...waste of my time! Sure, I love a good time...but the man has to have a job! I don't look at it as a failed marriage, I now know the bullshit I will and will not put up with. Good luck dating! Have a great time and enjoy!
Oh, boo-fricken hoo! Wait'll you-all are 70-goldang 6! (not aimed at anyone specifically--just joshin' around. However--could use an old crack such as myself--only an innie.)
yeah, they spend years chasing every jobless bum they can find, then at some point they suddenly switch sides and want a guy with a high paying job. meanwhile, us guys that work fulfilling but low-paying jobs their whole lives are just out of the equation at all times...
My impression is that there are quite a few women in that age category looking for men. If you put some effort into looking around, you will probably find someone.
