I posted this in the Stoner's Lounge Social Group, but got no responses.

I've been dating this girl for almost a year now, and she doesn't partake. She never cared that I did, as I never done it in front of her. She recently moved in with some family who are big time pot heads. Now she doesn't want me to do when we get a place together. Anybody ever have a similar problem?

    Any advice would be great.

Sounds like she thinks you will act like her family. You need to show her you can be a smoker without doing whatever it is they do that annoys her.

She said it's the smell of it that's bothering her right now.

    You get used to that.
I'm a non smoker but my bf smokes. I have no complaints, except that he lacks an interest in house hold chores when he does smoke it.

I've never been in an actual relationship with someone who didn't toke. Not that I'm against the idea, it just seems easier that way.

I guess he recently moved in with me, or has at least been staying with me for a couple of weeks and has made it abundantly clear that he will pull his weight but under his terms only and the more I persist the less he'll do. So I let him go at his own pace and stuff does get done.

Why don't you two get a place with a nice balcony so you can smoke there?

Maybe not, pot does not stick to materials like cigarette smoke does. As long as it's not right after he smoked it should be ok.

OP you can wash your has after smoking, that will help the smell allot.

Yeah the difference is in the amount of smoke generated. Tobacco smokers tend to have something burning almost constantly, at least hard core users do, but weed not nearly as much.

I have been with my wife for over 22 years now and she doesn't smoke anything or drink. In the time I have known her I have seen her drink one half of a wine cooler and a glass of champagne, that's it.
Me on the other hand, well you guys know..:p

I will say there are great benefits to having a wife who doesn't smoke or drink, for one thing she looks rather young, (alcohol and tobacco age you reeaall bad) and there is more for me :D

    The solution is a simple one;

    You + [oils/wax + vaporizer = minimal odor] + girlfriend =

Just blow it into the ceiling fan and brush your teeth after a bong hit. Then rinse your mouth with some fanta.

Seconded! They don't exactly eliminate smell (sometime's it's pungent and oily), but at least it isn't smokey and as bad for you.

I found that when I first got it (I have the MFLB) there was very little smell... just a hint of burnt popcorn or burnt almond. Now that I've used it for over a year it just kind of has a general weed smell about it, probably because the inside is covered in oily residue that is pretty impossible to clean out.

I dated a girl for about 5 years. She was a pot nazi.
Hopefully, your girlfriend only dislikes the smell, as she claims. Ive known chicks to be cool with smoking, until they feel that they can start limiting your intake, eventually to the point of making you quit.
I learned the hard way that if youre forced to give up something you enjoy, and for irrational reasons at that, you will grow to resent that person that made you quit.

This works both ways. I couldnt believe that there were guys out there hassling theyre ladies to quit! Why can't i find a cool, non skanky stoner chick?! :D
