I was tongue in cheek. Technically I'm a disenfranchised Kusinich voter. But it's hard not to be wooed by Charmey Mchope. I gave a couple bucks to his campaign before the Texas primary.
Gee whiz has he put in for his saint hood yet? In all honesty, like your current president, I can't bare to listen to him. 10 minutes have not convinced me otherwise. I'm not inspred by him I am afraid, It does not quite ring true for me. Too many sentences that sound like they have been crow barred in to appeal or appease. But, in the interests of fairness, i'll continue to attempt to be inspired.
Charmey Mchope. How fuckin funny is that? I'm wooed but still wont vote for him. Just because you can speak well dont mean you can lead well. Besides, I'm republican... well sort of, but thats the closest platform that suits me.
The problem is I think, you may feel that you align with the stated republican platform, but the republicans do not. Like fiscal conservatism. The Republican platform for years has been to spend more money, while cutting taxes, and printing more money to make up for it. That just means a drastically devalued dollar, and $140 oil. That's not responsible. and I don't think the modern GOP is committed to it's original principles.
thats the way it seemed to me. the crowd sure seemed to love it,but with all that emotion coming to him from the crowd he just stayed flat.. it actually seemed strange to me..
Yeah, I personally don't find Obama's speeches to be inspirational. He uses so many broad terms and empty allusions that I just cannot help but vomit extensively everytime I hear him say the word "Change". It's a genius campaign though that's almost guaranteed to win unless something that helps McCain out (war, terrorism, and so on) happens. People want change, Obama promises change, simple and beautiful. No one really knows what kind of change they want, but it sure better be change. I dislike all the damn rhetoric, but all in all, I'd vote for Obama in a heartbeat if I was one of you gringos.
I find him incredibly eloquent. People don't want to hear overly specif speeches. That's not how speeches are designed. There not designed to have people look down and analyze them later. That's what other forums are for. Speeches are designed to inspire people. And Obama does that.
He is a good speaker and fairly eloquent. I just don't like his speeches. I do see how he appeals to a whole lot of people though. No... but seriously. Just like him... it's amazing!
