the Lego company is moving from connecticut to Mexico. there goes 290 workers and my second job. damn lego!

 

yet another reason to move to mexico.. and the mexicans are here and all the jobs are going there

Now they're expensive.

 

i thought they started somewhere in europe. cheep second sourced leggo compatable (as much a compatable with themselves) blox from aztlan have been arround for decades too.

so get yourself a moulding machine (a few hundreds of thousands of dollars, but what the hell houses cost that much these days too) and a milling machine to make yourself some molds (a few thousand or even hundred dollars, good quality bargans CAN be found, not just the cheep crap from harbour freight, but good second had REAL industrial tools). and have at it.

as long as you don't coppy the exact shape of existing leggo products. design new ones to your heart's content. sell them at local autions and flea markets. (ok you probably won't amortise the machines that way or the space to run them, i'm trying to think of ways to stay out of major trouble, not become the next plastic construction set gazillionaire) hell so why not maybe just do it as a hobby and give them away. anybody out there with the cash and crazyness (i'd probably have the crazyness, i just don't have the cash)? you can always send me some.
