So are you investigating your consciousness and how it relates to time?

i like where you started, but i rather like to think that it isn't so much as a lining up of two possible realities as it is the coinciding of the current possible reality with what you might call fate. whenever i get deja vu it always makes me smile, i like to thing of it as a guidestone that i am on the right path. i believe that even though there are infinite possible realities, there is only one true path. whether we aline up to this or not is a matter of our own free will and conscience. but either way, if deja vu is the act of any kind of connection to higher or other dimensions, it would be impossible to fully explain. you can't explain the infinite in the finite dimension here. so talking about what deja vu could mean is only going to lead to incomplete conclusions based on incomplete information. deja vu could mean anything. but that doesn't mean, that you couldn't recieve a sign, in the form of deja vu. ;)

I guess so, however that would be hypocritical of another idea of mine: time is a measurement of life, which is something that doesnt pertain to your conscious, or subconscious? Does it? Still though, I believe that time is a measurement to put physical life into perspective.

I loved this, its a totally different approach. I would like to say yours is a more spiritual approach, a more religious approach; just how I read it =). I wrote this down in my moleskin actually. However, I like to think mushrooms put me allow me to get on a level where I can understand that and analyze it. I also like to think that what I write down will be stuff that Ill be able to pass on. A goal of mine is to do just that. Maybe, one day, all that I and generations next discover will be accepted as a sort of belief/lifestyle in understanding all that is rather than wanting the world to understand us, as the individual. Even if I spend my whole life doing this and nothing becomes of it, Ill be satisfied because I learned what no one else would consider; whether or not there is any truth in any of it, I dont know.

    Its humbling

If time is a measurement of life could we say that time grows with us, and if time grows with us does space grow with us as well? Could the past and the future both be artifacts of present emergence? The farther we reach out in front of us the older the universe becomes.

I would definitely agree with that. Space is a part of time as much as we are, so I definitely agree it grows as we grow. Would you say that it is also the reason we expect our world to end? Is there an underlying human understanding that nothing can live for ever; that everything is always dying and becoming something new in the process?

Did you ever expirience thelepaty? If you look at deja vu like some sort of thelepaty, it becomes more understandable what it is. Is it possible that the same way you know what somebody want to say, that you know what will happen? For example, somebody wants to call you and you receive his thoughts and according to that you create the picture how everything will look like and when that really happens, you got the impression that you already lived through the same situation. Psychedelics do open some channels for that kind of "comunication" and if you were taking some every day, it just left those channels open.

    There is another possibility.
Past, present and future all exist simultaniously. That means that you are living several lifes at the same time in different dimensions and the time we know does not exist. Speed of thought is the fastest known speed, thought reaches its destination before it was sent. By saying this, is it possible that your perception of the moment that you expirience as deja vu was triggered by the thought witch quickly came from the "future" dimension and created the picture witch you are expiriencing several moments after you received it and recognizing it as something familiar.

Just few thoughts, maybe they will give you approach from another point of view. All memories are real, its just the matter of recognizing from witch reality or dimension they are.

    Anyway cool thread!
