You got it. They're great for working in the hospital. I can wipe them down at the end of the day. They are ugly, but they shock absorb pretty damn well. I have one pair of knock offs... They are very comfortable when you are stuck being on your feet all the time. Hmmm... News sucks all the way around when it comes to chemicals... Found this while poking around for information about crocs. http://www.ers.usda.gov/Briefing/Agchemicals/pestmangement.htm Fortunately, I have a couple decent pairs of sneakers I wear on most days.
Personally, I think they look kind of fruitty and would probably never wear them. I've heard that they're quite comfortable, but I don't like the way they look.
I think they look rediculous... but they are cheap... someone bought a pair that are supposed to be house shoes, without the holes.... and lining, they are comfy and they only costed a dollar. My bee-bee has some, they were like three bucks, he picked them out... but they are easy to put on him, and the little strap keeps them on. They are cute on him.
I know that if my kids wore them they'd look cute in them just because that's how it goes. The most ugly shoes/clothing look adorable when they're on your kids. Doesn't matter what it is, it'll look cute in a mommy or daddy's eyes. Awww. And the fact that your little guy picked them out himself, well that's makes them even cuter.
I know. We went shoe shopping for some summer shoes, and I picked a few out that were his size, tried them on him and let him pick, he wanted the crocs over strappy velcrow type. He's the kind of kid who knows what he wants, haha... we try to give him that freedom to make his own choices.... as well with the other boys.
That's the way to be in my opinion! We do the same with our three kids too. I've cringed at some of the things they've picked at times, but hey, it's what they like.
Bingo - exactly how my wife and I feel about them!! Friends have told us they're comfortable, but as far as we're concerned, they put the "uggg" in "ugly." I do know that many nurses/docs wear them because they're on their feet all day. As for casual wear, my wife and I would rather be barefoot or wear flip-flops. Crocs originated in Boulder, CO, and were qute the rage here in Colorado when they first hit the market. We're seeing less and less of them over time though.
