I'll write on English cuz of Lorelai. First to everybody and yes! there are more of us yay!! anyway , passanger, yeah I know, graduation. Sucks badly! In US there are no tests like we have to get a diploma. I'm in US as an exchange student for my 4th grade and I'm gonna graduate here. Basiclly the reason why I left is to find out more about colleges and to appy to them which I did, finally! what a brag. you have to write thousands of essays, watch every word.. but it's worth it cuz opportunities they offere there are unbelieveable... Sad that the same thing is not possible in Cro. I need to get a full scholarship to attend it and if I don't doesn't matter. I'll go to Zagreb. You know, my friend studies in Italy, Trieste, on a very good college and it is not so expensive because they do give financial aid. You only have to prove that it is a bit too expensive for you and you may get it. So you maybe wanna check that out more if you're realy interested. Shit is that Italy has become so damn expensive since they got Euro so basicly you cant afford anything. 2 capuchinos or whatever the spelling is are 35kn, cinema ticket around 40kn etc. Lorelai, what are the prices of drinks in bars? a fuckanje... ma jebe ti se za fuckanje, hahaha!
Thanks Bonky. Oh well, it depends. In some bars a cup of coffee costs around 1,50 euros, in others it can even cost 2 euros. A bottle of water, 2 euros. A beer is around 5 euros, if not more. But it all depends.
haha! yeah, then you could deffinatly go there! But see, as I said, life is expensive there. What are you guys doing these days? no problem Lorelai
As for me, I'm constantly sad and angry because I didn't get the authorization for visa to go to Beograd last Monday
Ola!!! A evo, ucim povijest.... Evo neceg oko bi se stvarno trebalo zapitati: u Hrvatskoj je do 1910 godine pravo glasa imalo 2% stanovnika.....
First of all, I have wanted to visit Croatia for a long time. I come from San Francisco, but now live in Germany near Nürnberg. A step closer I guess. Second the other problem that I saw with foreign students strapped for cash, is that while they might be allowed to study in the US, the registration fees are much higher for non-residents, and they are not usually allowed to work legally w/out an additional work visa. The expense of living in university towns, and attending college is very expensive. What do you want to study there?
Well... because US offers so many opportunities that you can't even dream about if you're studing in Croatia. You can spend a semester or year almost everywhere you want, interships, fellowships, job offers... Croatia is a great and beautiful but... you know? I just want to take a shoot
Go for it! I suggest you either check out a west-coast college like San Francisco State, UC Santa Cruz, Humboldt State, Cal State Monterey, UC Santa Barbara, University of Oregon Eugene, Portland State U., or University of Washington Seatle. I have to say, having been around the country a bit, the west coast is more beautiful and the people more friendly. If you go east coast/mid-west, check out Boston, Burmingham VT, Ithaca, Michigan State, University of Michigan, etc. Nice college towns out there too. Again good luck!
Hvala, srecna i tebi, kao i svima vama Lorelai, I cant believe you didnt get visa for here! Stupid government! ...I wanted to go to Hungary for New Years eve, but unfortunatly my boyfriend didnt get visa, so we staied here this time Whats wrong with this world?
