Cream Reunion this summer!

Eric Clapton,Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker are making plans to get together again for several reunion concerts in 2005. So far they have promised to appear at London's Royal Albert Hall. I believe for two shows? The engagement will last about a week and mark the first time in 11 years that the group has performed together. They played at their 1993 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Not counting that lone appearance,they have not performed together for 35 years. I don't know about you all;but to me, this is a dream come true! I can't wait to see the movie. I can't wait to see the sunshine of your love.

 

Now that is AWESOME news,thanx man.Badge is still one of my favorites,among others.This is so cool,LOL!!!!

 

I read that on another forum. It reported plans for 4 shows and accompanying cd's & dvd's for all 4 shows.

While I dig Cream and am intrigued, I hope not to be let down by it all. Clapton has been a major let down for the past 15 years IMHO

 

I'm surprised, that after the death of his son, he went on to tour at all. And I would hazard a guess that even Slow Hand has suffered the ravages of age.

But... Cream! Getting together again! Thanks for the info We... Ginger Baker is my all-time favorite. Well, after young Ted that is.

I was thinking the same thing Luv. In fact,the last time I saw Paul Rogers perform he was standing bare foot on the stage of the Baltimore Arena singing "All Right Now" during the winter of 72. Perhaps Queen will call this reunion the "were only in it for the money tour".

 

My first love, and love of my life, and I share an "our song": Badge. We made love for the first time in his parents' car (i.e., we both lost our virginity) to this song. My first true love was a drummer, too. I would love to see this reunion. Sadly, I'm in New England, not England. The upside: your post reminded me of how much I loved my first true love. It was all magnificient! Enjoy the Cream reunion.
