THC doesn't have to be activated by heat. It needs to be cooked into something fatty, because THC is only fat-soluable. The reason eating weed doesn't work is because the plant material takes a long time to digest, so the THC is released over a much longer period of time.

But yeah, I don't think adam and eve were eating any drugs. I'm not well versed in religion, but I remember hearing a story about the guy that went to the top of a mountain and came back down with the 10 commandments. I'm thinkin he may have been eatin wild mushrooms on his way up there

 

I meant that weed being natural gives it a better chance of somehow being divine rather than alcohol, not mushrooms. I'd agree with you that Mushrooms are more spiritual and enlightening than cannabis, although the combination of the two is pretty excellent.

I really agree with you on a lot of what you said. I think marijuana is definitely a tool that can be used positively or negatively. People can make bad choices, and let the marijuana ruin their life. Or, they can make the correct ones, and stay on top of it at all times. Most people fall somewhere in the vast space between.

And that ties in with it spiritually, like you were saying. You can't just smoke a joint and then let it do all the spiritual work for you. You've got to be the one thinking and controlling the environment you are in. You've gotta be doing the weed, instead of the weed doing you.

Set the controls for go and live it up, I say! Marijuana can be a really powerful drug when one concentrates on it. I think more people could do to realize this.

Just because our modern scriptures of the holy word use the term 'fruit', this word has been translated many, many times, and really should be seen to represent the 'fruits' or the inherit resource of the 'tree', a growing (and thus holding energy or impetus), practically constant producer of some resource. Cannabis can easily fit into this, as opposed to mushrooms.

however, there is a reason that neither mushrooms or cannabis can fit the concept of the 'fruit from the tree of knowlege', and that is that 'knowlege' in this case is defined by religion, and not in any sort of neurological terms. can any of you honestly say that you think being naked is less moral/ethical when stoned? I think quite the opposite. cultural constructs such as nakedness being naughty are the very things drugs make most of us see through.

this makes it clear that the idea of the fruit of knowlege was concieved by early people who had minimal idea of how their own minds worked, and also by people who were driven by religion, seeing it as the ultimate height of humanity - thus religious concepts must be the most higher order. when in fact, religious concepts avoid complexity; they are formed to foster social integrity and motivations, for example.

 

this may sound crazy, but here is my theory. They have proved that these people were real right? i mean, the different people who wrote the books of the bible and saw and recorded the happenings we read today.they didnt know what they were eating then, i mean all plants where probably fair game without a gov. to tell them no. all of the crazy things that you hear in sunday school like the man that was swallowed by a whale and lived and noah's arch...all of it maybe even the prophets who dreamed of the future. maybe they were all just tripping balls and writing down what they saw. not so much miracles as maybe a drug educed spiritual happening?i can swear up and down to the things ive seen on a trip...maybe they could too. and then it gets completely talked up and a legend is created and through the filtering of other people...a god....


it makes sense to me although im sure its a truly flawed theory....but just a thought.

Weed is a superior religion to Christinity. Weed is about knowledge, wisdom, and self liberation through discovery whereas Christinity is about repression, guilt, and control.

Weed is a better stepping stone to wisdom than the cold, forced doctrine of Christianity. There are some good concepts there but much political tampering throughout the years has tainted the wisdom.

Hell, Christians today pretty much ignore all the good morals present in their religion such as "do onto others as you wish for them to do unto you". The fascists have spoiled even the holy and very credible spirituality of Jesus Christ.

 

I dunno about weed being the plant that Adam and Eve ate. I too have had a crazy revelation about religion, but I was on mushrooms. I wondered if our whole universe was just a firework in God's fireworks show.

 

the plant that adam and eve was a tree. weed is more of a bush. The fruit on this tree were like the shape of an apple.

 

if adam and eve ate weed then that might explain why they ate the apple when they wernt spoused to cuz they got the munchies, but thats a long shot in prolly what actauly happened (if it all happened in the first place)
