I saw this today on Moonster. The talents this "job" describes are worth easily twice what they are offering. I have had to take positions like this a few times over the course of my career and it's utterly soul crushing. Just knowing that these assholes are getting $50 per hour work and only paying $20 for it is heartbreaking for the kinds of people who are good at this sort of thing. Saw postings in accomack county VA for shucking clams and muscles in a freezer for less than $8. An hour. I wouldn't take less than $10. An hour to play video games in a freezer. I can only wonder the type of people who except that job and why would you want them at your place of business.
Advertised job requirements and pay these days are really ridiculous. We always have a shortage of technicians where I work because they only want to hire people with Bachelors or Master’s degrees and 10-15 years experience. I work in telecom. I have over 20 years experience and am one of the highest paid techs in my company (my hourly rate is actually higher than their published top hourly rate because I’ve been here so long and started when it was a very, very small company). If I applied today they wouldn’t even look at my resume. I’ve been doing this over 20 years but according to their hiring requirements, I don’t even qualify for an entry level job. I run multi-million dollar projects and have a variety of professional certifications...but on paper I’m not qualified to work here.
