Covid handling is this the only way ?

I thought I would ask the question here to get some more views.

IMO the only thing a lockdown achieves is delaying the virus as it has be shown time after time the virus will start up again . It only needs one person to come back form a holiday overseas to trigger a local lockdown of the like we are seeing in Bolton .

All lockdowns in particular local lockdowns do in my eyes, is just to cripple the economy and too many of these will result in civil unrest. They don't achieve anything. Desperate people will travel to other towns to socialise . We are social animals at end of the day. To take that away from someone could and in many cases will affect the mental health of people . This latter study I believe is being looked at . We are already seeing the first examples of unrest over here with more and more parties springing up in various places defying the rules. We are not yet at the stage like the Australians who rebelling and protesting against their lockdown rules .

The policing of the new rule of 6 will be unworkable. If one household in every street had a meeting of more than 6 people it would be impossible to police. Only last night I was woken up by the GMP helicopter flying low with a spot light blazing away in what I could only assume looking for illegal gatherings after this rule of 6 kicked in after midnight .

Then there is the Government Campaign to get people back in the office . Isn't this going to encourage the spread of the virus ? and wasn't it the Government who encouraged everyone to work from home if possible. For me to get people to work from home was one of their better ideas and there are not too many of those !

So there must be a better way ?

 

The mandatory wearing of masks will get it under control, but that would be like Hitler's death camps. /sarcasm
