Large gatherings such as open training sessions, sporting events (the nba was suspended yesterday) and schools and businesses have been shutdown.

I'm well aware of the situation locally nearly every college and university in the area like BC, BU, Harvard, Radcliff, and MIT are shutting down for the school year, the New England aquarium has closed it's doors, the Boston's Children's Museum, The Prestigious Museum of Fine Arts, several school systems are closing their doors until next month, the St. Patrick's Day parade has been canceled, the Boston marathon has been rescheduled from April until sometime in the fall, and in just 3 days our corona virus numbers has risen from 50 to 110, so yes i'm fully cognizant of what's occurring around me, and there's always still a place for humor

Same here I'm getting bored with no sports to watch. No NBA, MLB, NHL, even the Masters Golf Tournament in April has been cancelled....~ Sigh ~

Unfortunately it looks like the rest of the US will soon experience the situation we in PNW are already living with. The economic and social costs are already enormous and will get larger. We are retired and don’t have the job hassle but are in the high risk groups.

 

Ya !!!! - all major sporting events cancelled, meaning no sport on television and great big gaps in programme scheduling. It may mean that at last the television companies will have to fill those huge gaps with some decent pregrammes for a change !!!

 

There are still sports being played but there are no crowds to watch the games.

 

More importantly Suzanne darlin' - there are no television cameras to record that particular sport, therefore no sport programme broadcast on the television !!!

 

Must seem strange with no one there!!
