I don't know what you are talking about. I talk about principles regardless if you are the stimulus or not. I don't take it personally, that is I do not take offense.

I do know that unless you have something substantive to say other than, I am wrong, then you are probably loosing whatever respect you may have had among your peers.

For one he doesn't espouse a belief in god, for another it is a play on words.
We were created by god, therefore we survived his influence.

I just thought it was interesting that you thought I was talking about you. I don't why you seem to be getting all bunchy about it.

Jesus was only interested in the truth and not what His "peers" thought about him, so why should I be concerned about what My "peers" think about me?

As for something substantive, I seldom have pointed out that you are wrong that I haven't also pointed out the truth and have backed it with the word of God and the truth from God's word is always Substantive. [IMG]

Actually no, the question was "If God is not doing anything to you, why do you talk about surviving what God is not doing to you? " and nothing you said answered that question.

If I appear bunchy it is because I don't understand your point and I do not wish to be deceived. That you have interest, conceals a hidden agenda, perhaps not purposefully, but I don't comprehend it.

I didn't say you should. i just said what the result would be.

If you think that is substantive, perhaps stick to that then.

You are the only one here with a hidden agenda.
I really don't care what you think what the result will be. I am only concerned with what God thinks and anyone standing up for the truth pleases him.
I know it is substantive and I have stuck to it and will continue to stick with it.

No matter what I do, I cannot get the last page of this thread...the furthurest (word?) I can get is pg 15. At any rate, I just want to address (waaaaay back :D) the OP...

I think that God could design the Bible so that there would be only one way anybody interpreted it. Just like when the Holy Spirit came upon everybody (in the OT) and regardless of the language, everybody understood the "speakers"/witnesses for God.

However, it seems to me that God intentionally has allowed the bible to be such that there are parts that seem (to me) to be open to interpretation - but there are certainly other parts that are clear! There are verses that indicate that everybody is not supposed to understand everything. Some people would lose their minds, I can well imagine, were they to be able to fully comprehend the many mysteries of the Lord God. Much less if a person believes, as I do, in the "triumvirate"...

Actually yes, everything I said in answer to your question was in answer to your question, yes, my answer was and is an answer lol! Spell it out for you? Of course!

The bible for any who, like I, do not find their survival in it and can at least find our laughter in its being ( to us ) a manual on how to survive 'God', is what it appears to us. I don't allow god to be god, why should I allow god to survive you OWB?! Just because I don't myself believe in god doesn't mean I'd demand the same of another.

    OWB to thedope:
You are the only one who thinks that. What are you hiding?

FTSOA, what if the bible has a "hidden agenda"? lol FTSOA, what if the essential sentiment, the underlying inspiration for its production includes resentment for life that wills itself, a revenge upon life that does not do gods will, life that isn't sick and tired of itself, but strong in itself beyond any sort of morality that could be insinuated into such strength in the attempt to render it moribund? Is it possible, FTSOA, that there might be nothing more dispiriting to said life than to hear of the spirit?! That there could be nothing less divine to it than to find divinity in...a book?! : D If so, FTSOA, hasn't the "holy" bible been a lie from the beginning?!

    Hallowed only in name? ;D

    Thanks for trying but no.

Survival has the meaning that you survived something but since you admit that God has done nothing to you, you have survived nothing, which means that you have not survived anything and thus have not survived God. [IMG]

    So you say.
What is bunchy about just about telling you the simple fact that my approval or disapproval comes from God and not from you or others.
These are some those things that I have already said in this thread:
and continue to do so, although in this thread, seeing as it is in the Christianity thread and not Sanctuary, it is not a place for easy discussion of the deeper things of God.

In a way I agree with you. I believe that God put some ambiguities in the Bible, so that only those who truly are looking for the truth will find it, to separate the Sheep from the Goats, so to speak.

I think he would like us to remain on the cramp road, but he also wants us to be united and not put our differences above everything else. I don't believe for instance that everyone outside my particular church are not doing the will of God.

Did you notice the person that said Lord Lord didn't include loving his neighbor? If you compare Jesus to a rockstar, they were going to his concerts, singing his songs, but weren't doing what he taught. I know tons of people that have treated me with love and didn't believe exactly the same theology. It's not my place to judge someone elses heart.

How do you know they don't know who Jesus really is? It seems like you're lumping in everyone together and are against everyone that doesn't have your exact interpretation.

If you actually weren't be biased in this matter, you would have noticed that thedope first accused me of a hidden agenda, why didn't you ask him what he was hiding, when he did that?

Sure why not and the fact that the world around us is falling apart, as was predicted by the Bible, is just a coincidence.

And the fact that there are millions who live by Bible principles that find the "the essential sentiment, the underlying inspiration for its production includes resentment for life that wills itself, a revenge upon life that does not do gods will, life that isn't sick and tired of itself, but strong in itself beyond any sort of morality that could be insinuated into such strength in the attempt to render it moribund" as you call it, has in many cases saved them from the depravity of this world, that was not put there by the Bible or a belief in the Bible, and has made their lives more enjoyable and happy.

Ignorance in your name only? [IMG]

Why not? Jesus was a Jew and worshiped as a Jew, do you really feel that Jesus felt that the scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees, who also called themselves Jews but which he had differences with, were ones that he wanted his disciples to put aside differences with?
It is not my place to judge the heart of another either but the Bible does tell us to make sure of all things and hold fast to what is fine. If a person seems nice to you but is telling lies that hurt you and others, do you really think that is a person you want to associate with.
If you paid attention to what I've said, you would notice I'm not against anyone and am not insisting that everyone have "my" exact interpretation but if someone is teaching that Satan's lies are truth, I will point out that it is not the truth and what is being taught is hurting others.
