They were referred to as “our most beautiful warriors.” One nurse whose head was shaved and being sent there is almost 9 months pregnant.

it is Chinese propaganda! They are not Just wives, daughters and mothers! They have names!

 

what kind of middle ground would you suggest between eating bat soup, killing bats to eat, which are great bug killers and helps the environment, bugs that carry disease or not eating the bat soup and not killing them for food?

in my countries culture you do not kill bears for their pancreas, leaving behind everything else simply because to some cultures, not canadians, the pancreas is worth 50k and used for medicine that doesn’t work in foreign countries, This is illegal killing. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen, because it does happen in my country by people who are not in this culture or a part of this land.

 

You ranted about the inhumane practices of killing endangered animals and harvesting body parts for traditional medicine and superstition. This is part of many worldly cultures to this day. I’m saying what you likely believe deep down, but are too afraid to say out loud: Some cultures are better than others.

Just because some cultures are worse than others, that doesn’t mean the entire culture is negative. There’s probably lots of positive traits about that culture that are superior to others. For example, I envy the part of Japanese culture where they are a very clean society and never gone is trained to pick up after themselves. So much so that they don’t need school janitors. This is something I wish my country’s culture would adopt

continued to worsen, South Korea exceeded 1,000 cases, Italy saw a 45 percent one-day increase in cases, and Iran reported at least 15 deaths.

China and South Korea announced new cases of the coronavirus, raising concerns in both nations about how long it could take for normal life to return. South Korea confirmed 144 more cases,
bringing its total to 977, the most outside China. President Moon Jae-in visited the city of Daegu, where more than half of the country’s confirmed cases have been found, Tuesday afternoon local time.

In Italy, the epicenter of Europe’s outbreak, the death toll rose to 11 amid 322 confirmed infections. Austria, Croatia and Switzerland reported their first cases, most of which
health authorities linked to Italy.

 

I'm supposed to travel to Asia in May. Not sure wtf to do now

That's what I'm worried about... throwing down money for plane tickets just to be denied travel. Plus it means my grandparents might not be able to be here for my graduation

 

My business trip to Kuwait was supposed to happen this week. It was canceled; not because of the corona virus but it was the client decided to assemble the product themselves without our training. Just to save money.

Nevertheless, the trip would’ve been canceled regardless. That’s because Kuwait has locked down all travel into the country.
