Coronavirus hype

I've been noticing some stores have been running low (or out altogether) on certain things. Hand soap, hand sanitizer, bottled water, etc. all because of this over-hyped Coronavirus nonsense. It really shows how gullible people are. The regular flu kills way more people than this COVID-19. But never underestimate the stupidity of people when there are those who believed the virus stemmed from Corona beer.

 

i've been noticing that walmart is out of certain things every fucking time i try to go grocery shopping. nobody bothers to hire anyone capable of tracking inventory and placing product orders.

 

not to mention the warrantless search at the exit, after you've paid for your goods and are heading for the door

 

luckily i haven't experienced this yet. usually the workers at the door are too busy standing around chatting with each other to notice anyone actually leaving the store.

 

that is true. but if you see worker with one of those scanner guns, they will ask "do you mind if I scan your receipt ?" just say hell yes I mind...do you have a warrant ? and keep on walking.....

 

Once the media get bored with reporting on it it will fizzle out just like the bird flu virus did

Connecticut had its first confirmed case late Friday afternoon/early evening. Someone involved with Danbury Hospital. That city is on the New York border. The person in question lives in NY state and is an employee of the hospital. The company who operates the place has another one down in Norwalk (shore, between Bridgeport and Stamford). Danbury would be roughly an hour west from me by car.

 

I suspect the right response is somewhere between nihilism and fighting over toilet paper.

Epidemiologists do seem pretty concerned because the statistical models vary pretty wildly. Part of that reason for the wide difference in models is they don't have enough information yet, because not enough people have gotten sick and not enough tests are available yet.

You shouldn't panic, but I would pay attention.

Come on you guys. The Coronavirus was made in government labs and released to make people sick. This way the won't won't to go out and vote and then the dumbass in the White House wins the 2020 election in November. It's that simple.

Imagine if 2% of the people who came down with the flu every year died. Every flu season there would long lines of people stretching around the block
at every hospital, pharmacy, and clinic to receive the flu shot.

 

I was gonna comment on this too but I caught a snippet of the news this morning getting ready for work and doctors were saying it might be as high as 3.5%

It will stablize to under 0.5%
