The virus caused the lockdown and what is you evidence that it didn’t - what is you evidence that the science was not credible?

The vast majority of people didn’t act out of fear but responsibility - the ones showing fear seems to be you and other right wingers screaming about conspiracy

I and others don’t want to be the cause of suffering and death in others as many of us are not in at risk groups although even those kinds of people have become very ill with this virus and others have died.

It seems to be mainly right wingers who don’t seem to care about that

It is right wing ideas and actions that cause economic hardship for the majority with policies that only serve the interests of a few. The wealth favouring tax cuts and bogus’ austerity’ programmes are just a couple of examples

On the issue of conspiracies; The Chinese ambassador was found dead in his Tel Aviv residence. There are any number of factions in Israel that would have ample reason to off this guy. At the moment his cause of death is still being guarded.

The only reason the NHS is run down is because right wing politicians have been defunding it for years.

It also got hit like all other public services by austerity – a completely unnecessary right wing policy

A good distinction, we know where it originated, but whom to "blame" appears to be an international hydra of incompetence. And not for the formation of the virus, I personally think that speculation is misplaced, but for the fact that information about it became convoluted and politicized almost immediately.

At this point I think it's easier to decide who not to blame. I have doubts about Bora Bora, New Caledonia and Sioux Falls. But otherwise it seems more like governments globally, down to the local level, are knee-jerking like a Devo or Talking Heads video.

I'm also hearing more about the exodus of wealth from California these days. The exodus of wealth from New York appears to have been kicked off by Trump himself. They appear to be packing off for both neighboring and far flung states to escape a degree of taxation.

I've seen greedy people (some of them relatives) pack off for cheaper counties. I only know a few who moved to higher tax zones, one of them has a yacht. Few seem to care about where it came from and I think most only want it to go away. Until then, flip a coin and vote either Trump or China for the next bout with reflux, to keep it simple.

Trump’s response to the covid virus has been anything but extreme...too little, too late and chaotic. Nations that embraced a shutdown early and comprehensive are now coming out the other side. The U S response is a sure fire way to drag out the pandemic and do more severe long run damage to the economy and cause thousands of lives to be lost needlessly.

 

An example would also be crimes. Most crimes involving more than one person are most certainly conspiracies. But until they are proven, they are just a theory that propels an investigation. It's not always fiction, it's also a way to model information.

Also, hearsay is not automatically untrue.

 

It was extreme when he slammed the travel door on China. It was racist and xenophobic according to the media.

What I find humorous though is anyone who would look to Trump for advice on medical issues. If it was president Ben Carson, maybe, but not so much on the virus front. Trump wouldn't know where to put oil in a car. A hooker maybe, but not a car.
