I love cops and have the utmost respect for them; not that they don't terrify me when I'm high at the convenience store. It's the law I have a problem with.
i just prefer them not to mess with me when i'm carrying....i seen the cops episode with the crack lady as well. it was pretty hilarious....i especially hate investigators, more specifically the drug task force ones..
not true. There are plenty of documented instances in which people have been harrassed by cops when they weren't doing anything wrong. The majority of cops are just trying to do their jobs, but there are also plenty of dirty corrupt cops and cops on power trips. My neighbors and my roommates and I throw huge parties on occassion. We are white, my neighbors are black. These parties involve mine and my roommates' friends and my neighbors' friends going back and forth between houses and creating a general ruckus. The cops come almost everytime we have a party, but they never bother us, the white people. They smile and wave at us and go over to the black people's house. I have a hard time respecting cops that obviously racial profile like that. lol let me rephrase that. The cop that was assigned duty at my high school.
i hate them because the job puts them above the law, and in turn just above everyone else, and the "duty" fucks up their personality. if they dont believe that the justice system they serve is the right way, or they just dont agree with how things work, they arent entitled to their profession, so the job directly corrupts. in addition, i also hate how they can slightly bend the rules on how they automatically are allowed warrants for pretty much anything. theres no one watching over them with considerable doubt.
if you wanna see a cop on power trip here ya go:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GgWrV8TcUc"]YouTube - Baltimore cops V.S. skateboarder
Now there's a motherfucker that deserves some jail time. And loss of his job. If some cocksucker like that man- handled my skate boarding grand son like that--I would make damn sure he paid a price. A big fucken price.
1950s=hometown cop stops us with a few cases of beer while we were heading for the river to party. Cop says "listen boys, don't be drinking that in town--go out to the country". Another=cop finds Joel drunk, passed out, with car in the roadway. Cop puts Joel in his car, parks Joel's car on the side of the road, gives Joel a ride home--deposits on front lawn. End of matter. Joel was 18. Earth has rotated much.
Maybe that makes sense in Canada baby gurl, but it's another story in my country. What you said though, is right a lot of the time. But you're missing out on an understanding of the certian part of the culture that sees the ugly side of police justice and the motivations behind it.
The police acted like that in my fathers day, but that type of police-drunkard interaction is no longer commonplace. You know why? In those days, cops went out to beat up and torment niggers* That's not so easy to get away with these days. In the 50's "the ******" was the acceptable outlet for the policemans anger and resentment. Today, it is the drug users and the sex workers as well as anyone else generally down on thier luck in a shit situation: The replacement niggers. The Native Americans were the first niggers to be picked on by the religious niggers that fled to this country after they got sick of being the ******. The ****** quakers (the pilgrims were quakers right?) ran to america, tagged cheif blackfoot and said "you're ******" And we've been playing this same fucking game since the dawn of humanity. The bottom of society exists so that the top may seem civilized, they turn their barbarian nature on these 'scurges on morality' that live in the dark underbelly of the social order, wether it be the ******, the wetback border jumper, the revolutinary, or the addict... the police use one arm as the arm of justice... while the other arm holds all their bitter hate and scorn veiled behind a golden shield. That is why people hate police. I don't hate police, I hate vile people. And when you have a importiant civic duty to the world... it makes that vileness 10-fold more discusting. More is expected of you. *don't give me shit for useing poetic effect
according to this story, the cop has been suspended pending an investigation http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,330501,00.html sadly, shit like this goes on all the time. but it's the word of the "suspects" vs the cop, and they know that.
I think that there was a study of the personality of cops. The conclusion was something along the lines of their being either mostly motivated to help, or being indistinguishable from criminals. I have nothing but respect for cops that are really motivated by a desire to serve and protect. The rest who just want to "cop" a power trip, or who want a license to commit crime, are pigs. Fuck the pigs up the ass.
There are more reasons why we should hate cops than reasons we shouldn't hate them. They can all die, as far as I'm concerned. This video is just another example of why I hate cops. They repeatedly kicked this teenage boy's head/body: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvy976QKuS4"]YouTube - Houston Police BEATING Teen Suspect Chad Holley And this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mvIWFXbHNo&feature=related"]YouTube - Police Brutality: Cop Kills Dog, Tries To Buy Owner's Silence!

every interaction of the police with the public should be videotaped, so that it's not just your word vs the cops
