Cops trying to ruin my weekend....

why not have a cookout, or cut the grass with a thick load of oil mix in a gasoline lawnmower.. see if these people are complaining about smoke, give them a smoke out..
hell sit there on their curb smoking a mixture of desert sage and parsley, when the cops come sue their fucking asses for harasssement. because as far as I know sage and parsley is not illegal.. secure a video camera to catch cops, get a scanner and record 911 callers petty complaints and make a fucking movement in your town to halt wasteful police calls..
Dont come on the internet without a plan, but other than Im a bitch to the cops and neighbors rant..

Gotta wonder how much this factored into the persistence of the po-po... ya might give some consideration to either finding smarter friends or getting the ones you have to wise up. Seems to me that the best way to throw sharks off your trail is not to smear yourself with the bait... so to speak.

Perhaps a sticky can be compiled for this forum along the lines of how to not get busted. I'm pretty sure one exists elsewhere here.

the stupid one would be the idiot who left the weed out in plain sight. surely you are all not this stupid to think that the neighbors were the only people who were wrong. yes, they should have minded their own business but a lot of casual americans will report broken laws to the police. if you don't want to get busted don't do illegal shit in front of people. it doesn't matter what your opinion on the legality of weed is, the fact is that its illegal.

Well i agree with you and stinkfoot, indeed the friends lack of attention may have escalated it to become such a situation.
But the neighbors calling the cops still really frustrates me.

Well I can understand that frustration... even empathize to a degree- food for thought here...

If I were a homeowner and my house were being broken into I'd certainly appreciate it if one of my neighbors were vigilant enough to notice and alert the law... the problem is that the culture as well as much of the general population regard marijuana as a "call the police" worthy issue. I think I'd be equally as frustrated at someone whose behavior dignifies the bias that pot users are stupid... or that pot use makes you stupid. Getting angry at someone who sincerely believes that he/she is just looking out for their neighbors doesn't dispel much negative stereotyping either.

 

Yeah, i did not really consider for a moment that the concern was genuine or almost naive, i just saw a stereotypical scenario of a old and angry couple looking to add some action and sense of power into their lives by busting some teens smoking pot in the privacy of their own property...

Well ya, but the fact they had the cops called on them for smoking a blunt and playing hackey sack is what I was referring too. But for sure, the kid was a dumbass for leaving weed out in the open, I don't understand that at all.

i had the cops called on me for smoking out in the open once. its what good, god-fearing american citizens do.

why wouldn't the neighbors just come over and either tell the kids to stop making noise (if that was what pissed them off to begin with) or ditch the weed smoking (if that was what pissed them off)

my parents have seen my neighbors smoking multiple times and they never say anything to them, they just say "COME LOOK, THEY'RE SMOKING WEED OVER THERE!". one time though my neighbor was having a pretty big party when her parents weren't home. i mean cars were driving around all over the place at like 2 am and doors were slamming, it was pretty noisy. so my dad just nonchalantly walked over there, went in right through the front door and told my neighbor to send some people home and be quieter. needless to say it was HYSTERICAL watching like 30 kids pour out the back door of the house once my dad walked in only to be trapped by their huge fence. the party was significantly smaller after that, but the cops were never involved so no one was really pissed off.

why do people have to be such dicks
