cops in my yard

I was having a dream about HF when I got up to go to the bathroom at 3:30 am. I heard something and saw our motion light in our backyard turn on. I look out there and see a guy walking through our fenced in backyard.

We listen to the police scanner all night in our bedroom (yes I know that's weird) I start listening and hear they are setting up a perimeter in our neighborhood looking for a robbery suspect. It sounded like a big deal with a bunch of cops. I woke my husband up to tell him what was going on. He told me to call 911.

I called them and gave them the information I had and the direction he was walking. She told me they are tracking a robbery suspect and to lock all my doors and windows. Don't let anybody in. (Duh) About 2 minutes later there were 3 cops and a dog walking through my yard. The robbery suspect was nice enough to close my gate. The cops were not. I've been sitting here listening to them track him for quite a while and I just heard they found him and had him at gun point. He got arrested.

They probably wouldn't have found him without my help because he walked through our driveway so there weren't tracks and they never would have found them going through our yards. Besides they were heading in the wrong direction. I deserve some kind of crime stoppers reward. Haha. Not really. It's a good thing I drank so much water yesterday that had me up peeing all night. Right bathroom break, right time.

Sounds like he robbed a gas station about 9 blocks away and he dropped the bag of money in another yard a few blocks away from my house. Dude, if you're going to go through the trouble of robbing a gas station at least keep ahold of the money. Silly criminals.

 

reminds me of an episode of cops where the criminal hid underneath a plastic baby pool...im guessing with this weather there was none of those around for him though.

 

Nope. No baby pools when the temp is currently -9 with a -28 wind chill.

 

you would think he would have planned that out a bit better.......i like how i just assume it was a guy but lets be honest it was a guy.

Yes it is a guy. He had a car that he wrecked a few blocks from here. Sounds like they just found a gun in the car.

this guy he robbed the gas station, took off on foot in the snow. ran thru a path where nobody had previously walked and hid behind a building. cops walked right to him. couldnt escape cause the corner that building was up against a cliff and is a tight squeeze on a child can get thru. fact they put a fence there to keep the kids from rock climbing and getting trapped. trap worked.

 

Haha, right? No idea. I like that you focused on that part of the story.

 

I woke up and its all over the news.

 

you could have been in on that if you got out of the house and talked to the press

 

I'm impressed that someone hasn't suggested that you should have shot the guy before calling the cops.

Lol, just because I have my permit to carry and a few guns doesn't mean I will shoot a guy in my yard. I'm not THAT crazy.

 

I should have called the press for an on camera interview. I'd make sure to not comb my hair, wear my oldest, most disgusting shirt without a bra and not speak proper English. The Eastsiders have a bad reputation to maintain. I wouldn't want to give anybody the impression that somebody that lives on my side of town actually has their shit together.

I would never want to be on the news.

That usually means one is spending too much time here.

 

I'm almost positive it had everything to do with my internet connection last night when I was in chat shortly before I went to bed. Welcome, Goodbye, Welcome, Goodbye, Welcome, RUBY!!!, Goodbye. It caused me a lot of stress last night which I'm sure carried over into my dream. In the dream I could see dreadzyahhmann22 saying RUBY but couldn't see what else he was saying.

Typical, me just dreaming about my pimp. haha. Property of dreadz!!!
