I used to not like macs for some reason but now I love them. Its like playing on a really big toy haha
I'm more into birds than bugs. Lots fewer North American species to learn. One of the cooler things I've seen in this Northern Urban Hell hole is a pair of wood ducks I've spotted a couple times....Or was it two different pairs in different places?
Every once in a while we get a TON of dragonflies, and when there are a lot of them, they def aren't as cool. They get disgusting, because they are big, juicy motherfuckers. Around creeks and little ponds there are a lot of tiny dragon flies that are really really cool. They are mostly purple and really light blue colors.
Dragonflies creep me out SO bad. They're so big! They always fly around my swimming pool in the summer when we're swimming.. ewww
Ewwww yeah! I hate horseflies. They land on my head in the swimming pool and when I go underwater they fly around and wait for me to come back up! Haha
horseflies are bastards alright...I have this beetle in a jar from kenya. Its huge, and I also have a toad thats been turned into a bag...but its a full toad with legs and everything when I find my usb cable i'll be sure to get pics of them
^house centipede. very freaky, but they eat EVERYTHING ants, spiders, roaches, hunt and DESTROY. i killed one because it scared me last year, and then i felt bad. http://www.whatsthatbug.com/ best bug site ever http://www.pikespeakphoto.com/hyalophora.html i found one of these outside, and moved it out of the walkway. we thought it was a butterfly at first. it was so furry! and the antennae look like little feathers, they were bushier on the one we found, but i didnt have the camera with me.
Those silk moths are pretty interesting. They only live for 2 weeks, because the adults do not even have mouths. That kinda sucks.
roly polys are the shitt! i saw a two leg'd cricket lookin thing swimmin in a nasty pool yesterday. lol
Awww I love rolly pollie's (i think) are those the little grey things that curl up when you touch them? if so, yes.. i love them haha
it was actually a couple years ago but I seen an albino praying mantace sp? but yes I love spring.... def. my fav time of year!!! everything is comming to life!!! ahhhhhhh I love birds and sleeping outside
