Gotta wear things sometimes to account for utility and practicality. You wouldn’t walk into a machine shop with loose sleeves, you wouldn’t walk into a construction site without a hardhat and you wouldn’t handle hot metal without a leather apron and steel toed boots. Just the same, invest in an apron, save your junk from not only the risk of oil burns but splashes of hot water, dropped meat and produce, or god forbid a dropped knife.
Been cooking naked for years, touch wood never had a problem yet? One needs to be careful, I have my goodies as one does not want them cooked as well.
Yes, I barbecue nude for the campers, but I wear a leather apron as the cloth ones just don't do the job.
As I said 5 years ago, if cooking is hazardous, then I think you're doing things wrong. At the very least, you're making a mess which you'll have to clean up (or will Mom do that for you?) Much better to figure out ways to cook which don't involve mess or danger. On the other hand, there are going to be occasional spills, and then skin's easier to clean than clothing. Being nude is better!
