Because people would know somethings up 90% of my job tasks involve being at my desk. I just put a stack of papers in front of me to look busy. I also dont usually do this because I am incredibly nonconfrontational but I went to my boss and expressed my concern. He said when she finishes her box of work she will get put on a different type of work. I feel bad now because I basically pawned her lazyness off on one of my other coworkers. Stupid union workers and their untouchable jobs. If it was up to me there are alot more ppl out there that would work alot harder than this lady.

At work and very busy today. I have my headphones in and I am typing away. Just took a quick second to see if anyone had read my weed butter post in the Halloween Party Thread yet. I think that I might have to do an Alton Brown / Good Eats version of this on YouTube. Man I wish I had more time to do stuff like that.

 

I know what you mean. We have union workers here also. I think some of them are great but others just coast and use The Union as a shield to keep their jobs. I used to remember that Unions were good in some ways, when I was a movie theater manager the union projectionists were great. If the film broke or the machine stopped working they were all about taking it apart and getting it back up and running in minutes. They knew what they were doing. Now we have people here who can't even do their job but they are safe because of the Union. It takes so much to get a union worker fired for incompetence. I understand the reason for a union at least I did but in modern times it just causes problems for employers. Federal labor laws already cover so many things that unions used to have to fight for, now they are mostly bullies.

I couldnt agree with you more David. It sucks because I am not in the union so I always fear if I complain its alot easier to get rid of me than it is to get rid of the union worker I am complaining about. Even though (not trying to toot my own horn) but us non union workers tend to get alot more done than the union people. I think it has to do with us realizing that our jobs dont come with a bulletproof shield around them.

 

School computers are so fucking slow. Takes a few secs for the damn page to come up .

I think a little fear makes for a better worker anyway. I know that if I think I will get fired for not working hard enough I will bust my ass. So there you have it in a nutshell. (I'm expecting an Orison picture now.)

The topic I am researching is the medical use of marijuana. I am studding this topic because I use to be a marijuana user and I am just curious of why it is so illegal . I would like to know why we cant smoke it like people smoke cigarettes, why cant we smoke them outside, in restaurants and in other public places. When people hear people say marijuana the get the impression that it’s bad and that’s its an addictive illegal drug. But what some people don’t know is that marijuana is used in hospitals for certain diseases that it can cure. The purpose of researching marijuana is to get an full understanding of what it really is, what parts of the body does it affect, and if it is so illegal why do they use it in the medical field and what for.
Marijuana these days is a normal thing like wearing a coat in the winter time , everybody does it. But truth be told by scientific studies that smoking cocaine, heroine, drinking alcohol and even smoking cigarettes is more harmful to your health than using marijuana. But smoking one joint a day can damage cells in the bronchial passages. these passages protects tha body against inhaled microorganisms and decreases the ability of the immune cells in the lungs to fight off fungi, bacteria , and tumor cells.
Smoking marijuana regularly one joint a day can cause respiratory illness. It causes pulmonary infections and respiratory cancer. Marijuana effects also include chronic bronchitis, impairment in the lungs, inflammation of the lungs, the development of potentially pre-cancerous abnormalities in the bronchial lining and lungs. The same toxins that are in cigarette smoke that has been identified as a key factor in the promotion of lung cancer is the same toxin that is in marijuana. This toxin is found in tar. From scientific research it has been proven that smoking one blunt (joint) has four times more tar than a cigarette. It appears that if an already ill patient uses marijuana as a medicine it has the potential to further harm them in the same way.
Mental health, brain function , and memory loss can also be effects form smoking marijuana regularly. It has been said that marijuana is at the root of many mental disorders. Disorders like panic attacks, toxic psychosis, flashbacks, delusions, depersonalization, paranoia, hallucinations, depressions, and uncontrollable aggressiveness. It is also known to trigger attacks of mental illness such as dipolar (manic-depression) psychosis and schizophrenia. During my research I found out that smoking marijuana impairs perception, judgment, thinking, memory and also you can loose memory six weeks after last use. So over all marijuana is very harmful on your health and body by just smoking one blunt a day. In the future I believe that they may stop using marijuana in the medical field because of all the problems it may cause, but in the streets marijuana will forever be used.
