if the first then tell me what i could have gotten for less than $150 dollars that will be worth the trouble of getting a refund. these are already a huge improvement over my old speakers though, and if i can tolerate shitty $10 radioshack ear buds i can defintely tolerate these babies

I am the man about music. I have over 700 gig of music on my computer. I checked it out the other day and if I were to play all of my music one song right after another it would run for three months straight and not play the same song twice. Hell, I don't even have time to listen to it all but I have it if someone wants it. There is music I may have never heard. I have a 7.1, 150 watt per chanel speaker system for my computer running on a Creative Sound Card. I need to upgrade that.

If I were to buy speakers today I would by Harmon Kardon speakers. You can get some for around that price. If not there is some better Logitech ones that are great as well. I thought I would never say that Logitech had good stuff but it is getting better. Go 7.1 if you can do it because I am so happy with that. Nothing like it. That is if your card can support it. Hell you can get a new Creative card for cheep. I love watching movies on my computer. Nothing like sitting in a chair with speakers all around you. I am not saying you need to return these. I am sure they are fine and they used to be one of the leaders in computer speakers. Just not what I would get but then again I can be a snob.

Yeah I have a nice set of altec lansing 2.1 speakers as well. I would love to go 7.1 but I have neither the money or need to as of right now since my music sounds just fine at the level I have to listen to it at to not piss off everyone else in the house. My speakers have quite the bass as well so that certainly isn't lacking even on a 2.1 system.

 

i have a nice set of Boston Acoustics that came with my old gateway.. they pound and have great sound.. i couldnt get them to work on my laptop though

 

Hey everyone, been a while hows everyone doing?

 

It's all good just to listen to the music that you love, but if you love music then you need the best. Unfortunatly mine was the best like 6 years ago. I am looking forward to building my next system. It's about that time. Soon. I currently have like 1.5TB of hard drive space. I don't know if you can tell....I happen to be a bit of a Star Trek Fan and well one of the things on my system right now is two complete series of Star Trek. With my next build I am also going to create a server. When I built my last system it had two 250gig hard drives. I later added two 500 gig hard drives and another small one. I run the operating system on one with my programs then seperate out the music and shows on the others. I am a sick man I know. I expect my next system to run me somewhere in the area of about $3,000.00 plus, but I am going to go full out and do water cooled as well. I think I will run it with Mineral Oil though and not water. My old system will become the house server and I will just load it up with Hard Drives. It should be fun. Other things to buy right now. Like a ring. D'oh. Priorities, Priorities.
