The conversion of the Posts and PMs is proceeding normally. We now have 62% of the posts converted, with 3 million more to go! I estimate that by sometime tomorrow this will be done and we will have all our posts and PMs back again. Thanks for your patience during this extended process...

96% done with the posts this morning. Still got PMs and other tables to convert. Maybe they'll show up this afternoon or evening. (PST). The software company will perform the final merge with our current data set to ensure we don't drop anything more... Hopefully they'll get to do that today after the conversion is done, if not then tomorrow. When I installed this software, I assumed we might have to leave the old posts back in an archive. So it's great we can move forward with all our old data integrated into the new site.
The conversion of the 7.6 million posts was completed successfully! Now we just need to do the PMs, again... Hopefully we can get all of them this time. That will take another six hours apparently.
I would like to thank you for being so patient. You could have taken the easy way out and just started a whole new forum and not have had to go through all of these mishaps and you instead chose to keep this place the great place it has always been. Thanks!!
Well we still have an issue with the db that is waiting for a response from tech support. And apparently it's later there so we might not hear back until tomorrow. We did get the PMs and Posts converted, but now we must merge the current data to the old vbulletin, and there's the rub... getting it to go right. Or we might have to dump the current data since the conversion. But I hope not.
i like the "see recent posts" feature.... instead of opening nearly every subforum to see if there's anything new, i visit that page, scroll, and i'm done! best improvement so far.
