Well I got a Yamaha acoustic guitar last year for Christmas (2007), and I played around with it for a bit, and watched some lessons on youtube. Just last month I started taking real lessons.
Today was my 3rd lesson. Pretty sweet. Once the calluses build up, it's not that hard anymore. It's also easier for me since I've been playing violin for 6 years previously.

Today I learned Sunshine of Your Love, and I'm in the process of learning Hey Joe.

 

Hehe yeah, my job is pretty cool.

I am gonna have to see where I am at the time. I would like to find something where I can go home every night, but i dont mind this.
I'd like to go back to doing the office manager bit. that was super fun.
Maybe Ill go somewhere and cook all day.

 

i just stopped taking guitar lessons, actually. i've been playing since 8th grade but once volleyball started i decided to quit since i really wasn't too into it anymore and i didn't really have the time.

i'll probably start playing in the summer again, however i doubt that i'll ever go back to lessons. taking music lessons really decreases my interest in the instrument, but my parents never seem to understand this with ANYTHING and they always wear it out for me.

but i'm glad that it's going well for you! is your guitar teacher awesome? mine was pretty funny. i think he had a coke nail though... lol

 

the cook idea is pretty cool. were you thinking restaurant or fast food? if you're leaning more towards the fast food route, i'd probably suggest a mom and pop place rather than a chain. i work at a local cheesesteak place in the summer and IMO it's a lot more interesting than chain places. plus you'll have a better chance at actually COOKING rather than just cleaning and taking orders. a cooking job at a diner would be nice as well.

 

My guitar teacher is pretty cool. His name is Neil, and he looks like a drugged out rock star, lol
I think he used to do teh drugs though, he sometimes comes in with really glossy eyes, and he has some really psychedelic stuff hanging around his room.

He always slips and says shit or fuck, and then he apologizes, which I find pretty funny
He's super chill though, he never really bitches at you for anything.

yeah i was with the same guy for 3 years. in the beginning we were really shy around each other but after awhile we were always cursing and he was always yelling at me for not practicing and stuff. once the newness of your situation wears off he'll totally be on your ass if you don't practice... or at least he should be haha.

i probably wouldn't bring up drugs with him though, it may seem like a good idea at the time but you're underage and he's supposed to be teaching you guitar . not that you even said you'd talk to him about it, but that was just something i feel like i needed to say

 

that sounds like fun. really stressful though, i think startreken does something like that? he doesn't own his own though.

 

i probably should have taken lessons haha...ive been playing for 4 years(didnt think it was that long haha). i learned everything from tabs and free online lessons. im sure i have tons of bad habits and do a lot wrong but its still fun haha.

 

I'm not too worried about him getting on my ass, I practice enough, and he really doesn't seem like the kind of guy to be bitchy unless I were to come to like 20 lessons in a row without practicing in a row, lol

I don't plan on bringing drugs up with him though. I don't bring drugs up with adults, the only person I ever told I smoke was my uncle, and that's because he asked me first. I knew he used to smoke when he was like 17 though, so I wasn't too worried about what he was going to say. Turns out he's now growing a few plants for personal use, and still smoking, lol.

Nah, he lives in Switzerland, and I was only there for a short visit.
Right after telling me about his plants/showing them to me, he said that he didn't want to give me any/smoke with me because he doesn't want to have to lie to his brother (my dad) about it.

I respect his decision though, I wouldn't be able to smoke my brother's kids off a spliff and then lie to my brother. Lying is one of the things I try hard as fuck to avoid, and it's annoying as fuck when people do lie. When I turn legal though..maybe :sifone:

How much are you doing for your first time?

 

I think I am just going to take 10mg first time because that is what swim plans on selling to others. This way I should be able to more accurately describe what someone will feel like on 10mg, speaking from personal experience.
