Control your dream?

Ive controlled my dreams a few times, sometimes i wake up from a really good dream and whilst half asleep i think i want to continue that dream so i think about how i would like it to go and sometimes i just wake up completly, but sometimes i dream whilst still aware im awake then fall asleep completly and the dream will continue. strange i know! has anyone else ever experienced this? it doesnt happen to me very often but it feels really good when it does!
