Contraception?

I've never been on the pill and never will for those reasons^^
we were trying for a couple months and had Rioh, atm I'm not having periods so I can't chart my cycle like I usually would which worked for 3 years.

 

I hated the pill. It messed with my hormones big time and I wish I had never used it.

So is Birth saying that contraceptive pills could promote cancer/tumour growths?
I find that a bit surprising because the packs that I sometimes use say that long term use reduces breast cancer. I prefer my own method of birth control and thus far its working.
I'm not a fan of using contraceptives in marriage and like Daisy Melan says if you know what you're doing and do it right it is more trustworthy than a pill. These days I'll only use the pill to delay a period a few days, if I'm going away or its a marriage related occassion.

 

There are other types of pills to use.

I used progesterone only because of breastfeeding and it seemed a whole lot better than when I was on the combination pill. I tried doing research on natural spermicides but couldn't find any.

I don't think I could chart my cycle since it isn't always on time, does it have to be consistently on the same number of day cycle?

 

I don't think so. I don't have "regular" periods so I don't chart it that way. I'm gonna save embarassment and disgust and leave it at that

 

Since I was 17. It's been my primary method since I started having sex. Hell, if I have a condom on I just blow up inside. Without one I always pull out. I wouldn't knowingly use this method around the middle of her cycle (assuming it's a relationship type setting.)

It takes some years of practice with masturbation and sex to be able to control it well. I still sometimes have trouble controlling the duration but I always can pull out without accident...unless I am drunk. I dunno... People always dog this method but seriously, I think it's safer than a girl on the pill and I just blow my shit up in there....which I have done...once. I was so nervous for that month.

agreed, its sexier than pregnancy but the 5 seconds it takes to put on a condom or the 10 to take a pill in the morning are much better. im really suprised to see so many people here against standerd contraception

im also never going on the pill again. no hormones for me.
i was on the pill for a year or two and im convinced that its better for me to not fuck with my bodys natural rhythms like that.
so its condoms atm, which suck for several reasons.

i might get an iud in the future, but id really rather not.

naedhippie, id really like to hear more about your charting. ive looked into it, but everything i read says you need to be taking your temp everyday and stuff, and i just wouldnt do that.
i do however have a regular cycle and always know when im ovulating.
