Conspiracy or lobbying?

I am confused. Who said anything about Alex Jones or Dallaire? Did Jones actually say that?

 

Is it good or bad for people to blindly follow orders?

Just like the clones in Star Wars, sometimes you can control large masses of people by simply ordering them around... They may not understand or want to do any wrong, but they do.

It's easier to attack the messenger, I guess. I think Jones was referring to the UN as a whole, though. Just because they showed a two second shot of Dallaire, doesn't mean he was deliberately singled out.

 

Def showed a youtube clip with Alex Jones, and when the camera panned over Dallaire a couple times, he said they were "serving a corrupt system of government" or whatever.

Not a very good choice of words to say over video footage of a man who was Peacekeeping and protecting Tutsis during the Rwandan genocide. The man pleaded with the UN to help the Tutsis and watched his own men die at the hands of the Hutu. I just think it's shameful to imply that Dallaire was serving every whim of the UN. Because that's just not truthful at all. It's another Alex Jones' opinion that is false.

 

Sorry, but am I supposed to ignore the small details and subliminal messages in a propaganda video montage or something?

I'm not wanting to argue about it. I just wanted to point it out and express my own views about it. I think it's a misguided message and misrepresented. That's all. (Is misrepresentational a word, btw? It's late.)

 

I watched the clip and it showed a quick one or two second shot of him. Jones' words were referring to the UN. He was not referring to Dallaire. I could see if he mentioned the guy's name, but he didn't. It was merely stock footage of UN forces that just so happened to feature a one or two second shot of Dallaire from Rwanda. I am sure if you actually listened to what he was saying, you would know what he was talking about.

 

I do know what he was talking about. He said that people are serving a corrupt government system and serving them at their every whim, and he showed a picture of Dallaire.

I just found it to be sensationalism.

I'm not misinterpreting what was said, if his name was or was not mentioned, and I'm not hearing it wrong or viewing it wrong. That was my impression. That was one small thing that I saw and am criticizing. I don't agree with the message that Alex Jones said and as he portrayed Dallaire to be on that footage.

 

Besides Dallaire, what did you think of the video?

I’m an Oblivion guy myself.

I suppose what I’m saying is where does lobbying end and social manipulation begin.

Because to me the line seems so blurred in the US system that in many cases I don’t think the two can be disentangled.

But I find it strange that while this very obvious (well to me) ‘conspiracy of the like minded’ goes on seemingly without comment while US culture is racked with numerous much more dubious ‘conspiracy theories’.

And while it would be difficult to legislate against the dubious CT’s it would be possible to curb the activities of the lobby system.
