  1. I think Libertine's rules of conservative correctness have manifested themselves quite nicely in this thread. Congratulations everyone.

about 99.9% of all money comes into creation as a loan. loans bring money into existence, they bring money that never existed into existence. once you realise this you realise that the whole thing is a joke, that and every economy has to have unemployed people so people can't demand their true wages. unfortunately this existence can be a very grim thing, you can walk away from it, ignore it or become part of it.

“I just feel that it's important to know that the Left/Right paradigm was established by the system to control you. It's called divide and rule. When you create polarities, you create a system in which people are distracted by the issues confined to these two belief systems.”

So are you saying that there are only two?

Are you claiming that on the left, everyone from mild liberals to extreme Stalinists thinks exactly the same and that on the right everyone from mildest conservative to extremist libertarians believes in the same thing?

If so WOW man I think you need to do some serious reading or get some serious help.

    OR

Are you claiming that all people with right wing views and all those with left wing views OF WHATEVR TYPE are thinking false ideas but that you have a completely new way of political thinking that is different from all of the ideas that have ever gone before?

Are you actually claiming that you are the greatest political thinker of our -and or any other - age?

That you have gone beyond Machiavelli, Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau, Hume, Burke, Bentham, J.S. Mill, Proudhon, Marx and many more?

If so WOW man, it makes me even more curious as to your political views.

Wrong again. Ah...yes, let me guess. The Rich give us jobs and they EARNED 100% of that money. It belongs to them. No matter HOW MANY public resources they use, correct?

Look, you conservative deceivers...STOP CHANGING THE SUBJECT LIKE YOU FUCKERS ALWAYS DO.

The POINT is simple. THE RICH USE ALL THESE RESOURCES AND THEY SHOULD PAY MORE IN.

Frankly, it doesn't matter if money comes from a monkey's asshole. The point is simple and clear.

As a former libertarian-turned-civil libertarian, I realize that the libertarian/conservative economic philosophy of rich get richer and poor get poorer is fucking horseshit and the progressive tax is best.

Secondly, it IS here and it ain't changin' anytime soon, so deal with it.

I think the IRS needs to stop worrying about people making less than $50,000 and start cracking some skulls on these corporate cheating swine. But, as long as your President Richie Asskisser is in office, it'll never happen.

As I’ve pointed out elsewhere ‘ownership’ is based on authority, centred in power, someone only owns something because others accept that they own it, it is only through the acceptance of that authority that they own anything.

An absolute ruler can give and take what they wish, but in history there have been very few really absolute rulers, there is usually some check on their power, be that powerful nobles, parliaments and assemblies, military leaders or revolutions.

What such checks and balances bring about is regulation, lists of rules, does and don’ts, that most people call laws.

They are the authority on which ‘ownership’ is based. That authority is usually termed as government.

So only if the due governmental authority backs up your claim to the land or the car can you then claim ‘ownership’ and if you try to sell a car or land for which you don’t have that authority the authorities will punish you.

As to the value of the items you may believe they are not connected to government but solely to the market. Yet even things like that come under the sway of authority.

Does the car pass safety checks, does it conform to environmentally regulations etc.

With the land, what can it be used for, is it protected, only open to agricultural use, can it be built on, what kind of land tax is to be paid etc.

    **

It also must be remembered that the same ‘trick’ of acceptance is also used with money itself, it really is just paper and bits of metal, what gives it value, is the acceptance that it has value. In many ways the governments stand behind their states currency and do what they can to influence its value, through their fiscal policies. It people loss confidence in a currency its value can drop or even be replaced by other currencies or even other systems.

sorry dude dident mean to sway your thread!! it was not intentional!! and no im not a conservative trying to chang the subject. as far as the progessive tax i do beleive that corps. that use more of our resources should pay in more! but it seems that the rest of us wind up bolstering big corps. with our tax dollars as they eat up our resources! i would point to the timber industry as a case in point. at least in the 70s japan was buying lumber cheaper than we could eating up our resourses while our tax dollars were bolstering the timber industry! wether this was due to conservatives i dont know i think the tax dollars would have been better used here! so i think i agree with you about the proggressive tax!

By resources, I mean (and not limited to):
    Currency.
    Public roads.
    Rural electrification.
    Government subsidized telephone wiring.
    Satellite communications.
    Police protection.
    Military protection.
    A criminal justice system.
    Fire protection.
    Paramedic protection.

By taxation, I mean putting back into the system that you've used (and in most cases, abused), Mr. CEO Man. That's what I mean.

So go run your business (if you have one and if you can) without using any of these public resources and you may have a smidgen of an argument here.

Oh, btw, do you make 100% of your money alone without using any other resources? Do you pull it out of your ass?

The Fed is controlled by the government. The fact that private banks own its shares has no meaning if the policy and decision making bodies are controlled by the government.

Number two, banks cannot create money from nothing via loans. Why do you think they take your deposits, and pay you for them, if they can make loans from nothing?

I can't imagine what these people would think if they went to Hong Kong, where privately owned banks print their own version of the HK dollar (see images at http://www.greggman.com/travel/hong-kong/hong-kong.htm : notes printed by Bank of China, HSBC, and Standard Chartered).

I can't imagine what these people think at all.

  14. Just watch Jerry Bruckheimer films and FOX news and you'll get a pretty good idea.

absolutly not that public recource belongs or should belong to the whole and a dividen should be paid for the use of it unfortunatly it doesnt work that way and tax payers pay companies to use the taxpayers recources to create profit for the companies! my tree why should my tax dollar pay you to cut it down so you can make a profit? and then sell it to japan cheaper than i can buy it even if i just paid you to cut it down when it belonged to me in the first place!!!!

  18. If you don't know the difference between a loan and a deposit you should go back to elementary school

    That's what I said.
But the Fed structure gives all the decision making power and authority to government appointees. And nearly all profits go to the Federal government. Imagine you own a company but the government appoints your management and takes all the profit. Yes you own the company, but so what?
