So is putting faith in a rationale of belief that relies on the mind/s of others.Jack away ,gentlemen.
I'm not putting faith in anything. I've decided not to masturbate due to the way it damages human health, and for spiritual reasons.
If there's a "spirit", what we've been given,ie:all aspects of human behavior that we are able to do (and DO do) must be condoned by default, including murder, agnosticism, farming, theft, theories, ability to construct, atheism, war, self aggrandisment, love, swim, form languages and yes---sex.I have not even touched on a tiny fraction of human foibles, talents, ect, that have "been given".So how could any of it be un-human,inhuman or wrong? The bad things affect our sensibilities --well--most of us-- (murder,war-)As far as a matter of health,I'm not a doctor,so I can't say.I do know that when I had an infection in my prostate years ago,the doctor told me to "keep it(prostate) cleaned out".Now how would one do that?Well--we all know the answer to that. And would it be differant if one was having intercourse every day or masterbating every day?Why is it anything that is pleasurable, when it comes to the human body, causes so much guilt, anger and grief?I'm not a shill for the art of jackin' off,but wouldn't one want to consult some medically professional people to find some truth?---But I have no trouble with your beliefs--to each his/her own.
You have no idea how much crack Freud did. He thought it was a miracle drug and a cure for many mentall illnesses. Hahaha
If u feel guilty, shame and u dont enjoy masturbation then u have to stop. Otherwise u can enjoy playing with yourself. In my opinion ppl masturbate when are feeling lonlyness to chear up and not the oposite. Finally i think if u seriously want to quit masturbation u have to stop visiting this forum. Every time i visted i have the need to masturbate
when i said that masturbation doesnt make me feel good. i wasnt thinking about the spiritual side of things. i think its more about how i view myself and indirectly it refers to some sort of spirtuality. i visited the site again because i was hoping someone would have some advice. its a bit hard to go cold turkey. i have tried it for 2 years and recently i viewed porn again and masturbated. i replaced the obsession with something else which was gaming. too much of something is not good. i stopped that because it was very distracting. i guess i visited the forums because i was thinking of masturbating and i didnt want to.
do u have self experience of depression after masturbation? of course there are hormonal changes but this happens when you do sex as well. in any case if ppl were feeling depress after masturbation why is so common
Thank you for your posts. i thought that might be the case as well, that i may have a shortage of dopamine.
True, it's due to the reaction your body has to orgasm, so it would be the same whether you had orgasmic sex or masturbation. I used to suffer from depression for a long time, since I was about 12 until this year (until age 24 as I am now,) my depression was part of bipolar disorder. It has completely gone away since I stopped masturbating - I'm taking some herbs too but abstaining from orgasm definitely helps a lot with my mood. When a person has an orgasm they have a dopamine brainstorm that looks virtually identical on a brainscan picture to some-one who's taken a recreational dose of Heroin. After the high comes an inevitable low, as you can test for yourself. The hormonal changes are prolactin levels rise and oxytocin levels fall, so these two combined with dopamine levels falling combine to create al of the negative heath consequences such as depression, anxiety, low energy etc. There is a full list of the consequences or orgasmic masturbation and sex at: http://health-science-spirit.com/neurosex.html A quote from that page: "After orgasm dopamine levels fall sharply with the usual withdrawal symptoms. This reaction tends to be immediate in males and delayed in females. Also prolactin levels rise, and androgen receptors fall after orgasm. Low testosterone is associated with irritability and anger. In sexually-satiated rats it has been shown that serotonin and endorphin levels also rise, and this also decreases dopamine and raises prolactin levels. Oxytocin levels fall after conventional orgasm but remaining in close contact may help to counter this drop and sustain oxytocin levels. Behavioral changes from this disturbed hormone equilibrium have been noticed for up to two weeks. During this time we may be more irritable, dissatisfied, anxious or depressed, and instead of seeing the good side of our mate, we may now be painfully aware of his or her shortcomings. This is exactly the same process and length of time prolactin levels need to recover during withdrawal from cocaine."
.. so the solution is to quit masturbation and only have non-orgasmic sex. I am single and get amazing wet dreams now that I don't masturbate, my health has improved a lot and I love my new masturbation-free lifestyle. It's about as attractive as smoking (I'm a non-smoker.) Smoking is like masturbation in that people who do it have to have a very strong will to quit, but once they to and remain free for a long time they generally much prefer being free from it.
Rubbish!!...What evidence have you to make such an unintelligent statement? Smug self congratulatory posts filled with unfounded technical claims are the usual hallmark of the religious nutter.....Anyway, you haven't stopped masturbating, have you?...What the hell do you think the wet dreams are? (If that can be believed)
Are you both stupid? It's based on science, how can hormonal changes and neurochemical changes by "religious based?" I'm not a member of any religion. The "technical claims" were backed up by scientific evidence, if you cared to click the link. Wet dreams are dreams where you release wet dream fluid while you sleep, they're more likely to happen if you don't masturbate, usually they don't happen at all if you masturbate.

"What evidence is there that sex over-stimulates the brain? In 2003, a Dutch scientist reported that brain scans of people having orgasm resemble scans of a heroin rush (Holstege, 2003). Dopamine soars during copulation and orgasm. (Putnam, 2001) These natural highs are only the first part of a neurochemical roller coaster ride - a ride that is essentially the cycle of all addictions. As we will see in a moment, after orgasm, dopamine plummets, prolactin soars, and androgen receptor activity drops off for up to a week. In short, "what goes up must come down," returning us to homeostasis."
if we are going to live hygienic then we have no to drink alkohol, no to eat fatty meals not to eat sweets and of cource not to masturbate. this life would be so boring that in the end we would all commit suicid
"A brain filled with air is a stupid brain" HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!! That makes me laugh so much to think that a scientist wrote that#$%^ I'm with you, buddy. The only drawback to master-debating is that orgasms start to be not very good if you beat off more than once a day. they're less enjoyable and intense. once every day or every other day is the norm for me. i may experiment with abstaining for a week or two to see if i get less tired. i'm always tired. hmm... If i don't beat off, i'll have wet dreams. Better wrap my jock in a sock so I don't soil my bed with seed....
