liquidlight, please tell...what kind of cats (or color, etc) and how old? ps - you are now owned by 3 cats.
Lynne ... i've no idea what kind, i guess they're sort of mongrel crossbeeds ... the kind i like! Two are brother and sister and they're quite old now ... the sister, 'scruffy' is my favourite ... we also call her 'bear-cat' because she'll sit up on her hind legs and wave her paws at you ... it's so cute. She likes to lick my hands all the time too ... maybe it's the sweat/salt or maybe a preening thing i don't know, ... she's a sort of tortoise shell coat. Her brother ... i don't know his name is a big fatty like bagpuss, a marmalade coat and he also reaches out with his paws to touch my face ... so he and his sis' have this paw thing going on. He's very affectionate but hogs the strokes. The other is alot more aloof and shy but i've been taming him and he seems mutch more affectionate now ... he's really sensual and get's into being stroked and gets real close ... it almost feels a bit pervy ... don't know his name either. So yeah, i now have a catty fanclub. It's nice Oh yeah, all cats seem to go mental over my armpits ... some hormone/body odour thing ... like they just dig their nose in and freak out. It's really funny!
Don't hate me, but the fact is I really prefer not to have animals in my house. But I can't stand to see an animal suffering. So when a female cat took up residence in our vacant doghouse for shelter from the snow, I at first waited to see if she would find her home or something, but seeing that she kept hanging around I finally fed her and let her stay inside our house. The kids were thrilled, of course. My mistake was, I should have got her fixed. She made a "friend" when spring came around, and before long she was pregnant. When the time for birth came, she kept following me around the house meowing at me. I finally got the message, and followed her. She took me downstairs and crawled under a stuffed chair that provided cozy shelter. I sat down on the chair, and then she was fine. I sat there and the kids stood around watching while she gave birth. She had a litter of four. So then we had a household with five cats. And then another stray showed up. It pissed me off big time, let me tell you. I grumbled about it to my wife and kids, but guess who finally grumblingly let her in the house? So then we had six cats. Oh, and here's the kicker: I'm allergic to cats. LOL
My spirit stories are few, and have nothing to do with animals, so probably don't belong in this thread. My spirit guide stories are so voluminous I'm writing a book about them.
That is an absolutely perfect and Funny and lovely story. My brood I mentioned earlier doesn't come inside either - but are allowed on the screened in back porch via cat door - so, no, I could never blame anyone for not wanting a pile of cats in the house. :cheers2: There is one 8+ yr old cat that comes in the house (or not, as he pleases) to keep our inside Border Collie company. The dog has me and my mother trained quite well to take him on his 5 walks per day. gad, huh?! Funny how our animals can take over, without us really caring, even when we Know.... (Most of my money right now goes to feed my brood the foods they want, and buy the Big bags of bird feed, FGS . )
i feel like i have a connection with animals - to be honest a lot more than i do with people. I've felt it since i was really small. ive always felt like they knew me better than people knew me. sounds weird i know, but my dog and even my fish, i swear they know wen im sad. my dog will find me wen im sad and come and rest his head on my lap and wait for me to stop crying. Now i only have my fish and my dogs at my mums house coz of crappy rules about not having pets (damn landlords) and the fish will all swim right up the side of the tank where i sit on the sofa and watch me if im sad and i sit and chat with them (i know craaaazy) but im alone at the moment and i swear they listen. and i have the uncanny knack of always seeing rare wild animals when im out walking, ones that are very elusive......animals are great!!!!!!! im working towards one day getting a job with them.
My dogs are able to read my thoughts to the point of knowing when I am thinking of taking them out for a run. They get all exctied before I even act on my thoughts.
