Fans who bought tickets for Michael Jackson's forthcoming tour needn't worry. Mr. Jackson will will be attending, but for one song one - The Invisible Man.

So, what was the official cause of death?

Couldn't stand him even in the 80's...

What was officially wrong with this guy too. First it was plastic surgery, then he had some kind of degenerative disease. I suspect that this what he died of, but all I know is it made his skin turn white.

Autopsy's scheduled for tomorrow, guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm curious myself. I'm also a little pissed that celebrities get rushed right up there on the autopsy list whereas homeless kids who are possibly murdered can sit in the morgue for days waiting for a spot. I'm pretty fucking bitter that we had to wait 12 days to bury my best friend, but because Jacko is famous, he gets a VIP pass to the coroner's office.

That reminds me of Steve Jobs (head of apple), got a liver transplant earlier this year yet there are 12,000+ people on the waiting list (in cali) for a transplant yet it's ok because he's famous/rich. There have been people wait for liver since the early 2000s, BS. Sorry to hear about your friend, the system is a bit fucked up but $ talks in this world.

I leave town for five days, and now I'm Michael Jackson? Is this some kind of online sequel to the Thriller video? ;)

But seriously, I was in downtown Philadelphia the night after he died, and everybody had their car windows down and radios cranking on a local FM station that was playing MJ's greatest hits. It was a solid wall of sound, bouncing off the tall buildings in an erie, almost creepy way. I'll never forget it.

I had just come from a bar/restaurant with a live band. A local TV station was there interviewing the musicians about how they felt.

For the next two days, all over town, ordinary people were talking about his great career and the sadness of his life. Some had closely followed his career since his first hit with the Jackson Five. They talked about how great it was for a kid from a working-class family to make it big. Philly seems to be a town that really cares about that sort of thing. Nobody said a word about any of his personal issues.

Now I'm back in Winston-Salem, where I probably won't hear anybody mention his name, unless they say something bad about him or the media coverage.
