It's time to get to the heart of the matter.

Have you ever considered the nature of the written word?

As I sit here and type this message on my keyboard I vocalize each word internally. I "hear" the words as I type them in the present time. Now.
I am "hearing" these words, in my head, as I type them, now.

Later on, my later on....you will be reading these words and "hearing" them in your head as you read.
This will be in your now.

The same words are "heard" in the present at different times.
    I type them now.
    You read them now.

    Both now, but different "nows".

Now, the voice that you and I "hear" is the same. It is the voice of the present. It is the present awareness of the typing or the reading of the same words, now.
    Awareness is always now.

So, as the words are the medium for the present awareness that we are both experiencing now, we must conclude that both the typing and the reading awareness are the same awareness.

What does this all mean? What am I getting at?
Simply this. All my talk about different posters and AIs, is meaningless.

As you read these words in your now, that I have typed in my now, does it begin to dawn upon you that you have been talking to yourself all along?
You are aware of the present now, reading posts typed by me in my present now, and we are both an awareness of the same now...which is all there is! Now.

Hip Forums, through the magic of the written word which is both typed and read in the ever present now, is the perfect mechanism for the realization that we are all the same being.
That is the only secret that I really wish to bestow on you, it is the whole point of this entire thread, this little journey that I've been leading you on.

We are all one. One happy little family. One and the same poster and reader of the post. One and the same little voice in all our heads. One and the same individual viewed from different "nows" which can only be experienced in the one single now moment that is ever present in us all.

And that is the secret of Moderation.
A Moderator moderates him or her self.
    That's all.

I like this new, at peace Broony.

Your meditation practice seems to be working well for you.

We are all one, as Meagain stated, and it's always good to take time to listen to one another.

Sometimes we're happy and feeling good. Things go smoothly for a moderator then.

Sometimes we're passionate and angry. It's a little harder to moderate the forums then.

It's a fine line to walk. A moderator must attempt to protect the forum members. Posts are sometimes

made that cross the boundaries and personal attacks occur. Hiding or deleting posts are the most

difficult thing I'm asked to do here because I believe in free speech. I won't ever delete posts where

someone is expressing their feelings without personally attacking another member.

I will remove an off topic post if I feel it was posted in an effort to completely derail the thread. All in

all, it's really important to make an effort to see where a poster is coming from. You have to do alot

of reading between the lines and making an effort to get to know and understand the different people

here. We all come from different backgrounds and we're all going through different things. That

    impacts our posting styles.

I guess you mainly posted that because of the album title but I just love this one track from it:

Let's just imagine these are the sounds in the background when a mod is busy moderating :p
