Not trying to start shit, but you should probably link to a source on that information rather than picking it from memory. Especially when arguing with that guy.

    Starting point:

    http://stdtesting.com/std-infographic-statistics-worldwide

And they cite their sources as the World Health Organization, the CDC and some other places as well at the bottom of that infographic. In addition to that they have some other little stats after it. It's a starting point, at least.

I'll leave the statistics and the preaching to the doctors and medical researchers. Everybody has to decide for themselves what risks they are willing to take, and nothing in life is risk-free.

I've already used up more good luck than anybody should expect to have in one lifetime. ;)

Sometimes I feel like I've used up a lot of luck too, but theres also a component of common sense, knowing your partners, etc. when it comes down to a comfort level of not using condoms and doing higher risk activities. People can look at the stats and stay locked up in their rooms and not experience anything if they'd like, but I feel like everyone should find a balance. Thats my 2 cents.

Ah, come on Karen. Don't tease me like that. I'm just curious to hear your opinion :).

The link leads to a page that shows an example of how different the numbers can be from one place to another. It's even possible to find a big difference within a single college campus. I remember a time when one particular fraternity was hit hard by herpes.

National averages don't matter much to me. For nearly all STD's, my state is worse than the national average, and my city is worse than the state average. The average for my family and fuck buddies is zero.

I've never used condoms for birth control, so I haven't needed one for any reason for quite a while.

Sex definitely does feel better without a condom. I don't know how to explain it. It definitely feels more natural and it feels like it goes in deeper

Yes condoms are rubbish and no I don't agree that they are essential to a safe sex life. The first and most important thing to a safe sex life is your brain. Use it correctly and you find that condoms stop being manditory.

....what she said. Condoms hurt me and give sort of a brush burn on my pussy!

And to think some psycho bitch on another thread was trying to tell me how girls can't even feel the difference between a guy wearing and not wearing a condom

I think it depends on the woman but I can tell a difference.
And I honestly know that a lot of ladies insist on condoms because of sexual insecurities. For a lot of women the condom makes the sex act less sexual and more mechanical. Plus there's the entire psychological "clean" problem we have with our vaginas.

I would think most experienced women could tell the difference too.

Yes, ugh. Someone stated that they're a passion killer and I couldn't agree more.

Like it's just awkward like you're getting really into it with foreplay or whatever then it's just like "Uh...can you go get one of those latex things really quick?" Then there's the time it takes to go and fumble for the condom, carefully open it, and I help putting it on him haha

Like, I really dislike that. You have to stop from the intense feelings for a minute for this little Trojan devil. Overall it just makes it less satisfying and leaves you with some lingering unsatisfactory feelings.

I like feeling like you don't have to worry about straying from the moment. You just getting into it and stay into it (quite literally lol). Loss of passion is what I dislike most about condoms.

To me sex still feels really good with a condom. But like the first time I had sex without a condom was like wow. Why did I never do this before. Pleasure-wise is better, for me it's a bit better physically and way better mentally. The bf said it felt a lot better without. Also I don't mind smell of condoms but the taste is bleh.

The Jist: Heat of the moment is fucking hot- for both parties.

I also hate condoms. Don't like the "rubbery" feel of it. Hubby hates it because it deadens the sensation. (We had to use until birth control took effect.) Personally, I prefer au natural (so does he).

One of the benefits of being in a monogamous relationship is not having to use a condom. If you are worried about children, you can also opt for vasectomy (but keep in mind, that doesn't prevent spread of STDs. So unless you are monogamous with an STD free partner, I would always recommend you wear it.

As for feeling the sperm, I don't. I can tell when he's ejaculating because of the way his body moves, but don't actually feel the sperm.

Sex definately feels much better without a condom.

I was once fucking an ex and the condom split during intercourse. Instantly I could tell the difference!

    Much much better

Threads like this are amusing to me because there are so many people who insist they would never hook up without a condom, but I've never met a girl who wasn't down to go bareback when I suggested it. Methinks some people aren't practicing what they preach...

maybe you really are a woman. a man would know damn well that you can't slip a condom on without him noticing.

Condoms suck, but so does sexually transmitted disease. If a guy respects he'll either get tested with you so you both can only risk pregnancy or he'll use a condom.

If condoms suck, people must do a lot of sucking.
We used about 167 million of them in the UK last year.
